4 years. 7 placements. 30 problem lists. 5 osces. 2 houses. 13 jobs. 6 shows. 3 hair colours. 2 breakups. 46 psychology appointments. many, many memories.

to my uni gals: the ones who kept me laughing through long message threads of “guys dumb question, how many sick days can i get off placement”, arguing with me about whether or not you can weight bear using forearm crutches (it depends), and always reminding me there’s a life outside myotomes and dermatomes. thank you for being my constant support and strength.

to my family: for being my test dummies and letting me practise every assessment i learned on them, for cheering me on through each placement, and for grounding me whenever things felt overwhelming. you have always been my safest place to lean on. i feel your deep love and appreciate it immensely.

to my uni community: lecturers, tutors, supervisors, and peers, who pushed me, challenged me, and helped shape me into the clinician i am becoming. the study sessions, the research meetings, and the shared passion. i carry all of it with me as i head forwards.

and, finally, to me:
for showing up and pushing through even when i was exhausted, doubting, heartbroken, or all of the above; for choosing to grow; for backing myself through every exam, placement, and all of the change i was so terrified of. i am so ridiculously proud of the resilience i didn’t realise i had in me. i now know: i can do hard things.

physiotherapy means the world to me. i’m both excited and scared about what the future holds for me in this profession. but, i’ve finished this chapter. i’m ready for the next. taken in Monash University by @calebwaterworth
