10 years ago I stepped into a familiar type of water. the location seemingly different along with the feeling that felt… well, just different. not the “bad” kinda different, but an unfamiliarity of the sorts. just 18 yr old me stepping into unknown water. one believing in a God she knew of, but didn’t know personally in the slightest. 10 years later, only to discover another unfamiliarity but this time… with myself. one that produced a hyper-awareness of not only me but, of others, and the world around me.. & that’s when it clicked. in the past several seasons of my life that was I guess you could say “the whole point”.

a renewal. a revival. a restoration. the type of awareness that forces an initiation of inward change. in God’s perfect timimg & order he revealed that what once felt unfamiliar now feels like peace. it was the PIECE that was missing… the only thing truly unfamiliar thing was living a life that was never created to be apart from him. every moment of separation, isolation, and everything in between he’s come and picked up every unenjoyable and broken piece. the best part… for every thorn there’s always been this perfect plan that is still writing its story that will create a garden of roses.

Making a personal choice to re-enter these waters isn’t justttt about being “saved”. 2025 absolutely wrecked me if i’m being 100% honest lol. 2026 is re-devoting my life & illustrating an outward expression for believing in the most unconditional love and merciful sacrifice i’ll ever know. for fully surrendering my life and trust at the feet of Jesus for whatever he chooses to use me and my brokenness for. A God I now know for his heart and his character. that even when the road ahead remains unknown the truth is…
God always remains the same. the same loving, compassionate, forgiving companion. God is closer than the air we breathe. he longs to do life with us and it’s never too late to come back home 💌 by @calexandria5
