Bell Canadian Swimming Trials — Day 5 🇨🇦 

Dinos brought five days of great racing to a close tonight in Montreal.

The night kicked off with the 200 Back — Kinnon Sen had a standout performance, winning the junior final in 2:03.93 with a huge personal best.

Alexanne Lepage took home her second win of the weekend, clocking her fastest-ever 100 Breast and inching even closer to the sub-1:06 mark.

In celebration of a great week of performances, UCSC alum Lorne Wigginton was awarded Male Swimmer of the Meet.

The night ended with the official Pan Pacific Championships team announcement, with Alexanne Lepage, Laon Kim, UCSC alum Lorne Wigginton, and Coach Mike Blondal all named to Canada’s national team heading to California next month.

What an exceptional week of showcasing all that Canada has to offer... what an opportunity.... what a week to be a Dino 🦖

Bell Canadian Swimming Trials — Day 4 🇨🇦 

Alexanne Lepage hit her stride today, winning the 200 Breast in 2:23.03, lowering her own AB Provincial and UCSC club record from just last month, and securing her spot on Canada’s Pan Pacific Championship team this summer.

Laon Kim just missed the podium in both of his swims tonight, finishing 4th overall and 1st on the junior side.

UCSC alumni Lorne Wigginton finished 2nd in the 200 IM, swimming to a personal best of 1:59.01.

Hunter Payne and Zackary Bowie also landed in the top 10 with strong performances in the Men’s 1500 Free.

And with that, we’re just one day away from wrapping up the meet.

Bell Canadian Swimming Trials — Day 3 🇨🇦 

Passing the halfway mark of these championships, Day 3 saw plenty of Dinos back in action across the 400 Free, 100 Fly, and 50 Breast.

Callie Cardiff continued her strong week, racing to a 4:19.81 in the 400 Free and finishing 4th in the junior rankings. Aiden Gyorfi also had a big swim, inching closer to the sub-4:00 barrier with a 4:00.19 and finishing 5th junior overall.

Today also marked the first of the breaststroke events, with Alexanne Lepage leading the way in the A Final and finishing 2nd. Stephen Moore, Ian Cameron, and Hayleigh Haines also earned second swims in the 50 Breast.

Bell Canadian Swimming Trials — Day 2 🇨🇦 

The second day of racing saw Dinos in action across the 400 IM, 100 Free, 50 Back, and Women’s 1500 Free.

Callie Cardiff had a standout performance in the 400 IM, winning the junior final in 4:50.73 and ranking 2nd junior overall.

Ranumi Eashwarage also won her junior final in the 100 Free, ranking her 3rd overall junior. 

UCSC alumni Lorne Wigginton swam his way to his second win of the weekend, breaking an 18-year-old Canadian Record in the 400 IM with a time of 4:11.32.

Bell Canadian Swimming Trials — Day 1 🇨🇦 

Yesterday we kicked off five days of racing against Canada’s best in Montreal.

This is always one of the best weeks of the year: bringing our current club athletes and graduated post-secondary athletes back together to race on the national stage.

Getting the job done in the first race of the week, Laon Kim is heading to Pan Pacific Championships 🦖 

Tying for second and touching just behind UCSC alumni Lorne Wigginton, Laon secured his spot as part of Canada’s 4x200 Free Relay.

Swim AB Provincial Trials 🦖 

It’s already been one week since our Provincial Trials crew found their way to MNP for a great weekend of racing. The meet marked the end of another season for many, while a handful used it as a stepping stone to wrap up their season at Provincial Champs a few weeks from now.

May Meets ✅ 

It’s already been one week since we wrapped up another great month with a very busy weekend - hundreds of Dinos racing across Calgary, with a group at Cascade’s CSI Meet and the rest at home for MAYhem. 

It’s hard to believe these are already some of the last competitions for the season… we’re enjoying every minute!
