🌞💚🌞Very happily spending our 16th anniversary hand-selecting plants for Calienna. It’s more than a business for us, this is a creative passion that we grow from every single day.

Sixteen years ago we met in Barcelona. Christian, originally from Southern California, was a designer working in New York and Miri, from a small town near Innsbruck had just graduated from her studies. It was genuinely love at first sight. After a year long-distance relationship we spent the next 12 years together in New York and London working in the creative industry. In London, Miri eventually left her career to pursue her passion for plants while Christian remained a creative director at the agency Mother.

Eventually we both left our careers to settle down in Vienna to create Calienna. The leap of faith was scary but we followed our intuition and passion for doing something we believed in. It didn’t happen overnight but was years in the making. It’s been the hardest work we’ve ever done yet the most fulfilling.

We opened our doors in September 2020, a challenging year to do so. This September 2023, we will proudly celebrate another anniversary, Calienna’s 3rd, with a very new and exciting chapter that we’ve been working on for the last year and a half. Stay tuned! ❤️‍🔥 taken in Netherlands by @calienna
