LA, let me run this back with an upgrade because the day got even better.

For my birthday shenanigans, my best friends and I hit Eugene’s LA on Pico … and listen… that brunch was a whole moment. The vibe, the food, the service, the culture, everything was giving exactly what it needed to give.

The venue is stunning, wrapped in iconic art featuring Snoop Dogg, Marvin Gaye, 2Pac, Nipsey Hussle and more. It’s classy, it’s soulful, it’s LA through and through.

We arrived a little late, but the hostess held it down. She welcomed us in, got us seated, and even warmed up the buffet so everything hit the table hot and fresh. That’s real hospitality.

And the food?
Shrimp & grits. Fried catfish. Lamb chops. Potatoes. French toast. Waffles. A spread so good I’m probably forgetting something 😊 but trust me, every bite was bussin’.

We skipped the bottomless mimosas and went straight for the mimosa tower 🥂 passionfruit on deck, with flavors like prickly pear calling our name. A brunch flex, respectfully.

The staff was incredible especially our server Danni! The whole experience was a 10 out of 10.

But here’s the part that made the day even sweeter:
