Life is all about how you choose to view it and acting is no exception! In this industry, it can be really hard to get stuck on the things that we might not book, how farther ahead others may be, or how tiring it is to put in so much effort into something for such little reward. At times, quitting seems like the best option. However, taking a moment to take a deep breath and changing your perspective can allow you to look at your journey in a new, motivating, positive light!

Like all actors, I’m no exception to the paragraph above and am also very self-centered(I’ll win the lottery before finding an actor who ISN’T self-centered lol). So all those times where I don’t book things, don’t make the final cut of a project, aren’t recognized/rewarded for my involvement/effort put into a project… it can feel really tempting to not continue on. However, everything changed the moment I started to view those same situations in a DIFFERENT light! If I didn’t book something, at least I got SEEN! If I was in the ensemble, I am a PART OF THE SHOW! If I’m barely in a commercial, I AM IN A COMMERCIAL! Remembering that every step is a WIN, not only changed my life for the better, but reminded me that I am doing this for ME! If I perform at any capacity whether it’s for an audition or for an audience, I get to do the thing that I love the most and that is the biggest WIN of them all! Thank you God for giving me the opportunity to live and breathe art!

So, just remember, even though the process may seem very difficult at times, you’re already winning by participating in the process! Creating art is the biggest win of all and I’m very proud of you for it☺️❤️!
