This week is special, so many milestones and I couldn't be more proud of us. Who we've been and where we are headed, I couldn't be more thankful to be me and with you.

I will never forget back in 2015 after about 3 months of dating- Justin asked if he could road trip with my family to MInnesota for Christmas. I was very surprised he would invite himself but my family said sure and since he was in alone in CO for the holidays we packed up the car and drove 13 hours all together in one vehicle. Our first picture we had even taken together was there, in -30⁰ weather no less. Since then we have lived the downtown Denver life, we moved across country to Florida where we ultimatley bought and moved into the RV. 10 years of living in small spaces, traveling from one side of the country to the next. Rescuing dogs, etc. Its been a decade of learning, loving and enjoying eachother everyday, all while trying to embrace life and all the adventures we create. There isn't anyone who I could spend all my time with, doing all of the things that we do. Here's to already spending a 1/4 of my entire life in your arms and by your side.

10 years ago looked a lot different as I was planning my 30th birthday to South Beach. I had an amazing time partying all weekend, not sleeping, meeting people and dancing until 4am when the clubs closed. Many of you friends/family on here have had similar times with me since about Middle school. The keggers, the boonies, typical HS days and beyond. We all had some really fun times camping, living in cap hill amongst all the bars, (with Libby on Willow St.) the speak easies, after parties...ALL GREAT TIMES (well mostly 😜)

However, THIS year- approaching 40, I can proudly say my life has headed in a different direction. As I think about my birthday next month, I wonder what hike on a 14er I can conqour, what sort of self improvements I can work through and look forward to, going on spa/golf vacations vs. All-you-can-drink is really "the fun" these days. Although I wouldn't change those fun times, I can gladly say that living in nature and getting back to my own basics these past few years has brought peace I have never experienced. I look forward to all that this next decade will bring me. As well as saying goodbye to things that dont serve me- THE REAL BRI anymore. One of those things is drinking for me and I am so freaking proud cause

J and I took a job this summer camp-hosting in the Eastern Sierras. Growing up, this was his family's favorite campground so we couldn't pass on the opportunity to live here all summer and work in the Mt. Whitney Recreation Area. We are miles away from the Pacific Crest Trail, Mt Whitney (tallest peak in lower 48), the famous Alabama Hills as well as being within a couple hours of Yosemite, Mammoth Lakes and Sequioa/Kings Canyon & Death Valley National Parks. We manage 3 campground areas, one being at 10,000 feet elevation (Onion Valley) where there's still snow and lots of deer- no bears...yet tho.😉 The beauty here is endless, new adventures every day and a weekly trip to Erick Schats Bakery in Bishop. EVERY day is a good day to rescue a dog, not just on the "national calendar" per se

ZOE: found on Craigslist for $150, saved from a breeding mill where she was mama around 1 year old. (Pure bred, AKC, boxer club, still died before 8 years old) RIP

VIDA: hit by a car in Denver, found on the side of the road and adopted from a shelter

LUNA: owner surrender at 10 years old. She was in really bad shape, the shelter gave her for free 😪 RIP

....and FREYJA, our newest rescue. She is 1.5yo and was being given away on Facebook for no fault of her own.

It's been a crazy fun ride with these girls. Still hoping for a boy someday! 😜

With heavy hearts, we would like everyone to know that we helped our beloved Luna over the rainbow bridge yesterday. She had a beautiful creekside morning and was laid to rest near the base of the eastern Sierra mountains. She was almost 12 years old, dumped at nearly 10- we had an amazing 2.5 years traveling with our babe. She will be greatly missed, our little "loon bug". 💜 by @caliwatertown

Well, this is 38!!! 🥹 I must say, today, this last month, all these years- it's been a beautiful journey! We've been in Montana for 3+ weeks and I've been speechless on what to say about it but I look forward to sharing so many pictures someday soon! Thank you to everyone who took the time to wish me a good day, I felt the love from you and had a great time (and great BBQ) with my man today in Yellowstone!
