Yesterday marked a powerful step forward for us at CFEC alongside our incredible female waste pickers from Pugu ♻️✨

We had the opportunity to visit Arena Recycling Industry @arena_recycling_industry — a place where plastic waste gets a second life, and so do the dreams of women at the grassroots level ✅

From the moment we stepped into the facility, eyes lit up with curiosity and hope. We learned how collected plastics are sorted, cleaned, shredded, and transformed into valuable products — a process that showed our women that they are not just waste pickers, but essential agents in the circular economy ♻️

This wasn’t just a visit — it was a journey of exposure, empowerment, and awakening. A reminder that with the right support and knowledge, women can rise as eco-champions and lead communities toward a cleaner, greener future 🌱

♻️In collaboration with @greenlift_foundation We successfully conducted training on the production of Smart briquettes for women in Mundemu Village, Bahi District, Dodoma.

♻️The aim of this training was to make clean cooking energy more accessible to these women, thereby reducing the gender-related and health challenges they face due to the difficulty of accessing clean energy.

♻️These briquettes does not emit smoke, is environmentally friendly, efficient in energy production, last long and is also easy to produce. ⚡️ by @call_for_env_conservation

Last week, the GreenZ Youth Adaptation Lab Participants had the opportunity to visit the UNDP offices in Dodoma for an insightful practical learning session focused on clean energy

The visit provided participants with an opportunity to move beyond theory and see how clean-energy solutions are being applied in practice. We explored solar energy technologies, discussed how energy efficiency can contribute to reducing energy consumption and environmental impacts, and learned about electric mobility, including how electric vehicles are charged and how efficient energy use can support a more sustainable transport system.

A big thank you to the UNDP team, trainers, organizers, and facilitators for sharing their knowledge and creating space for meaningful learning and exchange.
