This belongs here. 📌⚫️
A symbolic time testimony to what, I was just thinking, might have been the best winter I’ve ever had - and maybe ever will.

This marks April 2013.
My friend said, hold still, this looks so you: ‚You’re on a mission to redraw the map‘. I laughed. I understand now…

That season, everything aligned. Snow came early, November already white. I’d rush through the workweek, close the laptop on Thursday night, pack my gear, and disappear to the mountains. From Lech to La Grave, hometurf Disi to Courmayeur, countless days in Cham. More verticals than sense. Legs like stone. Heart full. 🖤🖤🖤

We lived on endorphins and thin margins - steeps and airy traverses that built respect but above all LOVE for the mountains: calm hands on the rope, the sweet bond between buddies, and the wisdom of who knew the terrain long before we did. 🪢

More than a few nights blurred into mornings, dancing in ski boots, sleeping sealed in Gore-Tex. We would say: carried by the ‚mountain momentum‘.

Today, winters feel so different. Seasons dissolved. ❄️Sadly. The memories (as long as I guess we keep on sharing them) stay vivid though. I know some of you who were there will smile reading this. I am, too…

And hopefully, we will dig some more old shots from broken cams. 📹

I won’t fly to Japan to chase pow and I won’t start to play golf - but ice-hockey, feels pretty good. 🖤

You don‘t need to own anything really, if you carry the mountains in your heart...
