I WAITED YEARS FOR THIS.

To spend the last 10 nights of Ramadan in Mecca…

Everything was set, flights booked, documents prepared, our hearts already there.

Then, suddenly, it was all taken away.

Conflict. Bombs. Closed skies.

At first, I was frustrated. I was only thinking about my disappointment… and I forgot that somewhere, people are dealing with bombs falling over their heads. That alone humbled me.

And then it hit me…

Maybe we weren’t ready. Maybe our intention wasn’t as pure as we thought. Maybe Allah is making us wait, not to deny us, but to prepare us. Because Allah is the best of planners.

Instead, He wrote something else for us. This Ramadan, my wife and I found ourselves in Malaysia, surrounded by the most beautiful mosques, the kindest people, and a peace we didn’t even know we needed.

What started as disappointment… turned into a reminder.

Allah never plans wrong.
