Closing the New York Art & Design Calendar, Selva and Venezuelan-American artist Eleana Cadalsø present a selection from her latest series, Epidermis, curated by Dulcina Abreu.

Nuevxs Cuerpxs explores Cadalsø’s provocative interpretations of contemporary adornment and sculpture within the expanded field of mass production and material displacement. The exhibition continues a broader curatorial investigation into identity-building through fashion, material culture, and independent systems of value.

EN l Super excited to announce our future collaboration with Dominican-Italian artist Nathalie Landestoy.

For the past four years, we have been working and developing this new chapter on Nathalie’s career. Focusing for this new research on minerals and fire rituals, the artist is showing a collection of 40 new pieces in the upcoming year, as part as her first solo presentation.

Here find a few of our favorite pieces and can’t wait to hear which one moves you the most.

We would like to thank @hairo_reyes as well for their support and joining our team in documenting our journey.

Durante los últimos cuatro años, hemos estado trabajando en el desarrollo de esta nueva etapa de la carrera de Nathalie. Centrándose en esta ocasión en los minerales y los rituales de fuego, la artista presentará una colección de 40 obras nuevas el próximo año, marcando así su primera exposición individual.

🌴 ARCHIVO VERTICAL DE LA ATMÓSFERA CARIBEÑA

Como parte de Comalo Week, y gracias a nuestro anfitrion @rodolfomadera, compartimos un pequeño preview de lo que estamos construyendo en Salomé 104.

Archivo vertical de la atmósfera Caribeña es una investigación abierta sobre las formas en que la atmósfera se manifiesta en nuestros cuerpos, territorios e imaginarios. Una exploración que conecta clima, memoria, materialidades, estructuras de protección, abundancia y transformación.

Aquí compartimos un pequeño adelanto de las materialidades, imaginarios y documentación que forman parte de este archivo a través del trabajo de algunos de los artistas participantes:

Honored to be moderating Between Worlds: The Transnational Curator and Artist this Thursday at Future Fair 2026.

Thank you to @hello.its.rachel and the team of @futurefairs for the opportunity to host this conversation and create space for dialogue around transnational artistic and curatorial practices. It is truly an honor to share this panel with artists and thinkers I deeply admire and who continue to inspire me through their work and perspectives.

As New York continues to exist as a crossroads of migration, identity, and cultural exchange, this conversation reflects on how artists and curators move between worlds, languages, and histories, reshaping the ways we think about art, community, and belonging today. Las residencias artísticas son territorios de cruce, escucha y transformación. En este encuentro en el B-side de Kates-Ferri Projects, las entendemos como tiempos de pausa y desplazamiento que permiten a lxs artistas cuestionar sus procesos, activar nuevas formas de habitar y construir redes de colaboración que trascienden fronteras.

Esta charla propone una reflexión colectiva sobre el rol de las residencias en el contexto actual, a partir de la experiencia personal y donde convergen historias, tensiones y posibilidades. ¿Qué imaginarios se activan cuando unx artista latinoamericano crea en el Norte global y viceversa? ¿Y qué sucede cuando el arte se piensa desde lo situado, lo relacional y lo afectivo, especialmente desde el Sur global?

El encuentro también se enmarca en las charlas de AZOTEA.ARS, plataforma de iniciativas culturales con programa de residencia artística independiente en Argentina, que comparte una visión común con otros espacios independientes: potenciar el arte como forma de pensamiento crítico, arraigo y desplazamiento.

Join us this Sunday, September 14, from 4–5 PM at Selva NYC for a special walkthrough of Plastic Fossils, the solo exhibition by Gabino Azuela, with independent curator Dulcina Abreu.

“Plastic Fossils summons an archaeology of mass culture through the bootleg toy, one of its most unlikely relics. For Azuela, these toys are not disposable figurines or mere imitations, but talismans that echo the idols of our collective subconscious. They embody a secular mythology, mutating and deforming yet always preserving traces of the creatures that populate our shared imagination.

Painted on canvas, these spectral descendants of gods in plastic resist decay, transforming into relics of a cult of the disposable, where saints are cartoons, prayers are jingles, and miracles are the endless mutations of the same face. In Azuela’s work, the painted bootleg toy becomes more than a failed copy; it is a satire of reproduction, an iconoclastic practice that exposes the instability of originality and reality itself.”

Join us on Friday, September 12, 5–8 PM for the opening reception of La Eterna Luz Indomable, presented by DAE in collaboration with KATES-FERRI PROJECTS. This solo exhibition by Ecuadorian artist Leandro Pesantes opens at 563 Grand St, New York, NY 10002.

Curated by Dulcina Abreu, the exhibition features archive sculptural wall works that position material processes as both formal strategies and metaphysical propositions, accompanied by special contributions from Maria Leguizamo and Luis Enrique Zela-Koort, expanding into a multisensorial dialogue of sound, light, and matter.

The evening will include Ecuadorian ceviches by Rincón Melania, a toast and cocktails sponsored by Buchanan’s Whiskey, and artisan cakes by Lady Wong Patisserie.
