Welcome to Finally Making It: Episode 3! Today I am finally making my dream content creating planner! If you’ve been around for a little while, you might have heard me toying with the idea of starting a #ringsplanner. Today we make that a reality. I wanted a place to jot down video ideas and track performance. I used this Shiliu pocket rings planner I’ve had for years and took a trip to Daiso for the inserts. I cut down legal pad paper and hole punched memo pads to create my dream planner 🤩 It will look SO GOOD once it starts to get filled in! #contentplanner #plannercommunity #plannergirl taken in Chicago, Illinois by @callie.crafts

10.13 pupdate: Harrods has been rescued (still needs a forever home) 🐾Panhandle and Pattie have both been adopted!!

This year @superkidcarmen @modestys.world and I participated in the 2nd annual #contentforacause with @chianimalcareandcontrol We got to tour the facility, provide enclosure enrichment for many dogs, and met three of the shelter’s cutest pups. I am truly grateful for this experience and plan on helping our local animals more once school is done! It was a very rewarding day and although there were tears, we felt so much love and hope from the animals and the volunteers who dedicate their days to these wonderful creatures. I am especially thankful to Amber @eels4peels00 who was our volunteer who took the day to teach us about the entire shelter process. The staff is extremely caring, loving, and passionate about animal advocacy and care. Thank you to @chicagoshelterdogs for facilitating the event. The truth of the matter is, although it was sad at times, you should not avoid volunteering your time if you can. The animals will be there regardless. Stopping by once a month means that more dogs get to leave their cages each day. We need fosters, adopters, awareness raising, and volunteers to help the current animal welfare crisis. Please reblog this video to help Panhandle, Pattie, and Harrods all get out of the shelter alive. #dog #chicago #adopt adoptdontshop❤️ taken in Chicago, Illinois by @callie.crafts

This is a little bit of a vulnerable post, and most of my close friends know, but I have really bad anxiety about leaving the house, going new places, being alone, or being in crowds. I live in a city where there is constant chaos involved with going outside; but this is my home and I don’t know any other way. So on days like this one, where my other half is not around, I have to be a little braver. The reward of the world’s cutest drink definitely encouraged me to keep pushing myself to do things I like even if it makes me a little uncomfortable. #junkjournal #anxiety #matcha #chicago #scrapbook taken in Chicago, Illinois by @callie.crafts

Here are some of my favorite writing gadgets as an English major:
1. Alphasmart Neo2: this is a word processor from the late 90s and early 2000s that I really enjoy the writing experience on. It can hold up to eight files can be printed directly from and is a great tactile experience.
2. The @getfreewrite Traveler: this is another option for somebody who would like something like the Neo2, but wants something more reliable. It has an E-ink screen and can hold up to three files. The screen can be kind of laggy, and the uploading process is somewhat tedious.
3. Laptop with word processor: less portability than the Freewrite, but amazing reliability and performance. It can be disconnected from the internet to act like a distraction-free writing device like the Neo2 or Freewrite.
4. iPad with a Keyboard: I personally love the @apple Magic Keyboard for its tactility and portability. This is my go-to for school.

I have been getting so many questions about my little @mishmashpt log notebook! I have been loving this simplified system while I finish my last semester of grad school 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 I use the undated planner insert, the blank insert for my #junkjournal and the grid insert for creative writing! ✍️ the size is also great, I little wider than a #standardtn and a tad shorter, so it fits in my #baggu perfectly 😍 taken in Chicago, Illinois by @callie.crafts

One of the easiest #hobonichi #hacks you can do! I love to do this for my covers because it keeps my planner closed for carrying around in my bag; this keeps pages from being damaged and holds all my ephemera inside. Will you be trying this hack? #hobonichiweeks #2027planner taken in Chicago, Illinois by @callie.crafts
