I can’t believe I get to say this but I’m absolutely thrilled and honored to announce that my short film, Dirty Towel, will be having its World Premiere at the 2024 Tribeca Festival! 🎬✨

If you told me this time last year that a film that was born out of a time of extreme loneliness in my life would be premiering at Tribeca, I never would’ve believed you. Making this film has taught me so much and I’m so grateful for the growth I’ve experienced as a filmmaker this past year because of it.

To every single person that helped bring this film to life and continues to support me, thank you. I never could’ve done it without you.

@emmalparks_ thanks for being the best co-writer & actress a girl could hope for 💞

@emilee_ford thank you for always being there for me & bringing to life my vision in the most beautiful ways 🎥

@katrina_lee8 @cassidy_camp @vanessanottingham thank you ladies for keeping me sane & keeping this production afloat throughout any craziness 🙏

@its_jes__ thank you for caring so deeply about this film & editing it better than I ever could’ve imagined ❣️

@bridgeperdomo thank you for bringing to life the world of Charlie and Elizabeth so visually and creatively 🎨

@laura.coover @benkriegermusic @laurelkaynail thank you for bringing our characters to life so perfectly 🫶

& lastly thank you to everyone at @tribeca for selecting our project & giving us this platform to share it 💛

I can’t wait for the world to see all of our hard work and to hopefully resonate & feel empowered by Charlie’s story.

See you soon, New York :’)

a very (predictably) late bts post from a fun, challenging, meaningful project that I shot with some friends earlier this year! So grateful for everyone who gave their time and talents to help bring this film to life, it truly means the world. 💛

D, you were the most loving, amazing, silly, thoughtful grandfather. You were there for every milestone, every graduation, dance recital, birthdays, holidays, and more. Our annual Disney trips together are truly some of the happiest memories I have purely because I got to experience all of it with you and Nan. I aspire to be like you in so many ways. No matter what life threw at you, your optimism and positivity never faltered. Even at the end, you were still cracking smiles and jokes. You’ve always treated everyone with such kindness, welcoming over 30 people into your home every Thanksgiving - many of whom were strangers who would’ve otherwise spent it alone. It won’t be the same without you this year (or any year for that matter.) You’ve supported me, cared for me, and taught me so much that I’ll cherish forever. I’ll spend the rest of my life missing you so much and wishing we had more time but being so incredibly grateful for the time we had.

I love you, D. I’m glad you’re at peace now. 🤍 by @calliecarp

Things we learned in Oahu:

1. Every beach is the most beautiful beach
2. Singing Unwritten on the way to the botanical gardens hits 10x harder
3. Don’t panic if a stingray joins the ocean yap session
4. Read the signs BEFORE petting the horse
5. That said, befriend the wildlife 🐓🐝🐴
6. If you get really muddy on a hike, you WILL need to be hosed down hard
7. You will be mildly depressed when you have to leave
8. But always say yes to the sporadic trips with your best friends 🫶 taken in Oahu, Hawaii by @calliecarp
