mini trip + reading update 👜🍂📸☕️

Took a day trip to Tulsa, OK with my husband and we discovered this absolutely beautiful park so we obviously had to stop (plus we got some cute pictures so it was a win). I wish we had a place like this at home. 😫

Reading update:
I’m almost 100 pages into The Academy and it’s finally starting to pick up!! I’m trying to figure out where it’s going, but I honestly have no idea and it’s great bc I’m just along for the ride. I will admit that it was a bit hard to follow at first with all of the different characters, but now that I’ve finally got the gist of it, I’m enjoying it a lot more. I can’t wait to see how this one turns out and potentially start The Thoroughbreds soon! 🤭

Anyways, I hope you’re all having a great week! Don’t forget to do something to romanticize this fall season. Although it’s been so hot, I think we are FINALLY going to see the temperatures drop, and I can’t wait to bring out the fall clothes and do all the fall activities!! 🤎 by @callmechloeanne

September recap ☁️💘

These last few months have been some of the best of my life (not to be dramatic). I did a whole lot of everything in the month of September even though I didn’t really document a whole lot of it. My brother was so gracious to take me on a trip to California which was a big part of my month, and I absolutely loved it there. I would love to visit again some day. 🥹

I did a lot of baking and cooking which has been so nice, and I never realized how much I enjoy it. Also, my husband and I are trying to find a routine together which has been lots of fun. A part of that has been working out and going on walks together which I have absolutely loved. 😌 While this month was a slow reading month, it’s definitely better in comparison to the last few months that I have read absolutely nothing, so there’s that! I’ve also been getting into watching lots of movie and TV which has taken up a lot of my recent time. Any recommendations would be absolutely appreciated! 🤭

Things I’m looking forward to in October:
- my husband and I are currently living in a 500 square foot apartment, but we are possibly going to be moving into a 2 bed this month or next. we are just waiting for one to come available. 🤞🏼
- reading. reading. reading. recently, I have wanted to read a book rather than scroll on my phone and there is simply no better feeling than that. also, this is the best time of year to get back into reading!! 🍂👻🎃
- making more time for hobbies. It’s been so long since I pulled out my coloring books, and I’ve been feeling the itch. I also want to get into playing on my switch more. I’ve played a little bit of Pokémon diamond and pearl, Pokopia, and Split Fiction recently, but I want to make more time for it.
- posting on here. for a second I was feeling out of my element posting again, but I feel like I’m finally getting back into the groove of things. I forgot how much I absolutely love this. this community, getting to be creative, feeling the passion for books… I just love this space and you guys 🥰

late October recap 💌🍂☕️📷

October, thank you for being good to me. From the cozy nights in to the nights out in Tulsa, I loved every moment.

Book updates:
- I started reading The Heartbreak Hotel and while I was enjoying it, I haven’t picked it up in a bit, so I need to get back into it 🫡
- Finished The Intruder and as always, I had a fun & quick reading experience. I will never not binge her new books.
- Also started A Witch’s Guide to Magical Inkeeping and made it about 20% in before I forgot that I was reading it.
- So basically, I’ve had a really bad habit of starting books and forgetting to finish them, but hopefully I will get to them this month. 🫣
