Cackling Through Life:
I’m a little late on the anniversary post, but all my recent posts are health updates and/or variations of “I love Kelvin. He’s the best!”, so I doubt a delay in posting has y’all worried.😅

Life has been tougher than a $2 steak the past 2 years. 🥩
My health has been trash lately- no, not trash. It’s more like the icky trash juice at the bottom of a dumpster. 🚮⚠️😷

But, as is His custom, the Lord has provided! 🙌🏼
One way He has provided is through- you guessed it- Kelvin! 🥳
He’s been there for me through sickness and in sickness and in even more sickness.
🤧😷🤒🤕🤢🤮🫩🫨😰😭🚑🏨
I could list off my ailments, but this post would end up as lengthy as The Dead Sea Scrolls- give or take a “few” pages. 📃

We’ve been married 7 years now. Seven years worth of time that Kelvin could have jumped ship and said “This is too much for me, sorry.”
Honestly, I wouldn’t blame him if he did, and I tell him this occasionally. He always reassures me he’s not going anywhere. He’s not going to leave when things with my health get tough or uncomfortable or uncertain or even his worst nightmare.
He made a promise, an oath, a covenant to be my husband 7 years (and a few days) ago. 👰🏽‍♀️🤵🏼‍♂️
In the New Testament, Christ tells us he’ll never leave us or forsake us. Kelvin copied and pasted that promise and lives 👏🏼it 👏🏼out!👏🏼

He loves me so well in all the ways.
He sits with me in my suffering, yet somehow has me cackling through my tears on so many occasions.🥹

When my body feels so broken and my feelings lay bare to see, he doesn’t flinch. He helps put me back together, and holds me until things are at least to where we can both manage. ❤️‍🩹
He takes care of everything at work and at home- including me. Even when he’s weary from the work day, he always ensures I’m comfortable and as well as I can be. 🥲

We have friends and family and great doctors, but I couldn’t have survived the past two years without Kelvin. I’m not exaggerating.
God has worked directly through this man, and- if I hadn’t already been a believer- I would definitely be by now. 🩷

“In sickness and in health,” a pledge in our wedding vows that I didn’t foresee showing up so soon.
My health hasn’t been great the past couple of years, yet love flourishes.
In fact, I feel more loved now than the day we got married. I love Kelvin more, too.
He works so hard to keep things operating as smoothly as possible while attending to my care needs. I’m not much help with most anything these days, and he has never once made me feel bad about it.
We’ve had ER visits, near hospitalizations, medication issues, and a variety of scary moments over the past few years.
There have been times when the only thing we can do is dig our heels in and hold on until the storm passes.
He unconditionally loves me even though I’m flawed. He wants the best for me without guilting me for not already achieving that. That’s been tremendously important to me.
From a religious perspective, Kelvin loves me like Christ loves the Church. He points me to God and follows God’s example of being a haven of peace and rest. by @callmekrobb

It’s been a wonderful 4 years married to this man.

It’s been an interesting journey so far full of love, laughter, tears, illness, compassion, and understanding.

Blessed is somehow an understatement. I thank the Lord for the opportunity to walk through life with this godly, thoughtful, hardworking, servant-hearted man.

Happy anniversary, Kelvin. I love you so much. ❤️

When Covid joins you on day 1 of vacation.

We had a rough several days, but after a week or so of rest and quarantine, we’re [mostly] okay.

With so much going on in the world, it is important take time to seek peace, reflect and be grateful for what we have, and pray for those in need.

Pray for peace in our world.
Pray for wisdom and humility for our leaders.
Pray for strength for the oppressed. by @callmekrobb
