I thought class was over… until this moment. 🥹

I taught a lyrical combo @dancekar nationals to “California” by Chappell Roan and had no idea the backstage coordinator was quietly learning it on the side. After class, while I was taking pictures with students, I heard the music playing and turned around to see her performing it on stage.

This moment completely caught me off guard in the best way. Dance has a beautiful way of connecting us, no matter where we are.

Heard this song and had to create something to it! Just something fun and high energy that really pushed my students on a technical level. And thank you to the one and only @callmetaz_01 for stopping by my class and sharing her talent, experience, and POWER with the people in the space. It was great to have you there inspiring the kids in real time. You’re 🔥 #NotADancer

Hey mom, look what I can do! 🙌🏾

Much love to my new friends for being patient with me and teaching me handstand skills and straps. 3 months to go, let’s see where we end up 🫶🏾✨

Big shot out to Coach Kaat ( @kaat_dumarey ) the taskmaster with a smile 🥲 and TJ the sweet cinnamon roll (@cirquespiderteej )🤩

The boys (@ben_ratcliffe & @tom.aw ) for the notes, spots and “I SAW ITs” and @cararosethomas & @joellar_ for our progress 🙏🏾
