👕 Created with @callmeteditfc, the design transforms the town into a detailed Tudor-style map - blending past and present through hand-drawn illustration and modern landmarks.

Designer @lets.gobernard explains:
“I was inspired by Ipswich’s Tudor era, when Wolsey first set out his ambitions for the town. Tudor maps were beautifully hand-drawn and full of character, so I’ve taken that spirit and reworked it with landmarks from modern Ipswich - linking our history with the renewed ambition and success around the club and town today.”

Worn pre-match v Millwall, the shirts form part of the club’s annual Foundation Fixture -raising awareness and funds for Ipswich Town Foundation and its work across Suffolk communities. The collaboration has kindly been funded by Ipswich fan and Foundation supporter Richard Buss.

Each shirt is player-issued, with signed worn versions set to be auctioned after the game. by @callmeteditfc

This one’s for the fans 💙

A huge thank you to @pritchards_pencil for creating this wonderful celebration of life in the stands, ahead of @ipswichtown vs @fulhamfc in the @premierleague

Miriam’s artwork is full to the brim with individual characters all enjoying life at Portman Road - hipsters, casuals, families… and of course mascots, all showing their support for Town.

This work of art is available for you to own now (link in bio) but first here’s Miriam to tell the story behind the design:

“When I go to games, a lot of the time I’m actually watching people in the crowd,” she says. It’s one of my favourite things to see the emotion, and to see how different people respond to the football and what they’re watching - the highs and the lows.

“People on their feet, head in hands, different generations - a whole heap of diversity in the crowds, and seeing people from all parts of life coming together to support their team. I love the football, but I really love to draw the people.”

“The design is about the Ipswich fan community and how football brings people together,” Miriam continues. “They’re not on their phones - they’re enjoying the beautiful game.

“If you look carefully you can see all the different characters I’ve tried to capture - two mates from uni who meet every weekend to watch the game together, a kid on his grandad’s shoulders, who will be a lifelong fan.

“It’s been cool to be a little part of Ipswich’s journey and to celebrate community, which Ipswich fans clearly have in abundance.”

Fancy having this design on your wall and sparking joy every time you look at it? Good news - for just £16.50 you can own a beautiful A3 print, shipped to your door - available to buy now from our website (link in bio).

Miriam’s poster will also be seen in the shops and pubs around town from the weekend, thanks to the support of Ipswich Central.

Big up the Town fans - bring on Fulham.

Call Me Ted is pleased to announce our first Olympian artist 🥇

Miriam Pritchard is goalkeeper for Team GB’s hockey team and also a wonderfully talented illustrator, under the name @pritchards_pencil ✍️

We absolutely love her unique way of capturing the beautiful game and are delighted she’s designed our poster for @ipswichtown vs @fulhamfc in the @premierleague ⚽️

“I’ve really enjoyed mixing my two passions - art and sport,” she says. “It feels nice to tap into that side of my life in a creative way.

“A lot of my work is about celebrating community, places and storytelling. I love to tell stories of characters who inhabit communities and I think football brings that together nicely.”

Her poster is a really joyful celebration of fan culture, and we’ll share it here tomorrow.

“I’ve always loved the posters that Call Me Ted produces, and having such a range of different artists who are all celebrating the game via their own practice - it’s so cool,” she says.

“Kelly Anna’s was the one I think I first saw and loved - it’s an honour to be part of that and it’s been so fun to create and tell those little stories with the drawing.”

We’re super excited to share Miriam’s design with you - in the meantime make sure you follow @pritchards_pencil to enjoy more of Miriam’s amazing designs 🖼️

Every 𝚏𝚘𝚗𝚝 tells a story…

For Ipswich’s next Premier League home game vs Liverpool, we’re proud to present our collab with The Local Type and a design that’s based on almost 60 years of history…

To create our poster The Local Type have handpicked fonts from previous Ipswich v Liverpool matchday programme covers - stretching back to 1968 - before carefully piecing them together to form a stunning typographic design.

It’s a treasure trove of styles that spans generations, evokes nostalgic memories, and shows the rich history of this fixture. Top work.

“Our usual way of finding typography involves visiting the area and taking photos of buildings, signs etc,” the duo, aka Robbie Steer and Billy Fenton said.

“However, for this poster we wanted to explore a new approach and utilise the vibrant graphic history associated with football.

“This gave us the idea of exploring the vibrant designs of previous matchday programmes involving the two teams.

“After much hunting we found programmes of over 20 previous fixtures - from 1968 to Go Bernard’s Call Me Ted illustration from 2024.

“We curated the most interesting characters from each cover, redrew them and created our purely typographic design.”

We love how it’s turned out.

You can pick up an A3 print of the design for your wall for just £16.50, along with a certificate listing all of the programme covers that feature in the artwork.

Large versions will also be on display in windows around the town centre thanks to Ipswich Central and @allaboutipswich

A poster and a fixture for Ipswich fans to look forward to.

𝙹𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝖔𝖚𝖗 🅃🅈🄿🄴…

Our poster for Ipswich’s next home game vs @liverpoolfc comes via the wonderfully creative partnership known as The Local Type @the_localtype

Graphic designers Robbie Steer and Billy Fenton have always had a mutual love of letters and print and started The Local Type in 2024.

Since then they’ve been scouring towns and cities to uncover overlooked typography while learning more about the social history of a place.

Their recent exhibition at @suffolkarchives showcased their skill at bringing all this together and creating very cool pieces of art.

“Two of our greatest passions are design and football and we love our local area, hence starting The Local Type,” they said.

“So when Call Me Ted reached out asking us if we’d like to collaborate, and already aware of the great work by previous artists, we had no hesitation in saying yes.

“It’s an honour for us to become part of this wonderful project that celebrates all that is great about Ipswich and football - community, creativity and characters.”

The feeling is mutual.

Come back tomorrow to see The Local Type’s design, which will be for sale on our website and also posted around the town centre thanks to the help of Ipswich Central @allaboutipswich

Konnichiwa, Daizen Maeda 🇯🇵

Hats off to Eddy Rosas for bringing his unique style to the hallowed turf of Portman Road, where we see a new hero earning praise from the Town faithful - @m_daizen0827

We love what Eddy has done and we’re excited to get the season under way.

“The poster is centred around Daizen Maeda, a player who represents Ipswich’s hope for the upcoming season,” says Eddy, who lives in Colombia but now has a soft spot for the Tractor Boys.

“I found it really interesting to connect Japanese culture and visual elements with Ipswich Town. I think Maeda’s aesthetic, together with details like the Japanese characters, gives the piece a really elegant touch.

“The overall concept is the renewed excitement of returning to the Premier League. It also includes subtle references to elements that are deeply connected to the club, such as iconic sponsors and club flags, helping create an atmosphere that feels worthy of being back in the Premier League and strengthening the connection with the supporters.”

Eddy is the first of 19 artists we’ll be working with this season and we love that his poster for the game against Sunderland is taking us in another new direction.

“I genuinely believe Ipswich can have a great season back in the Premier League,” Eddy says. “I even think they can aim for a place in European competition and compete well against the clubs in the Big Six.

“My message to the team would be to trust in the unconditional support of their fans and in the bravery and determination that have brought them this far. Keep fighting.”

Believe. ✊

A3 prints of Eddy’s design are now available to buy from our website for just £16.50.

New for this season, you’ll also see large versions pasted around town thanks to the brilliant support of Ipswich Central (@allaboutipswich) and our town’s wonderful independent businesses 🙌

Hola Eddy Rosas 👋

We’re long time admirers of Eddy’s vibrant and fun takes of some of football’s most iconic players.

The Colombian’s visual style and use of colour makes his work instantly recognisable and brings a smile to the face.

It’s been a delight to work with him on a poster for @ipswichtown’s first match of the season, against @sunderlandafc in the @premierleague League… and Eddy is happy too.

“It’s been an incredible experience working with Call Me Ted. Having the opportunity to share my work with the world through a platform that has featured so many amazing artists is something I’m really proud of and grateful for.

“The Premier League is hugely popular in Colombia. There are themed pubs where people gather to watch the matches together.

“My friends, myself, and pretty much everyone I know who loves football have been following the Premier League for at least the last 20 years.”

We’ll show off Eddy’s new design tomorrow, but here’s a bit of what you can expect.

“Football is something I’ve loved since I was a kid. I grew up in the ‘90s and 2000s watching incredible, iconic players, and that naturally connects with my work as a designer because I love portraying and illustrating them, especially wearing iconic shirts or kits that I think are beautifully designed.

My style isn’t meant to be overly structured or anatomically perfect. I’d rather my illustrations have personality - they’re a bit raw, with vibrant colours and details that can connect with people from different generations.”

We’re excited to be back, and love that Eddy’s flair will get us started.

If you don’t already follow Eddy (@b1ckle__ ) then rectify that straight away.

See you tomorrow with his poster reveal.
