I spotted Doja Cat ( @dojacat ) yesterday walking around at the BET ( @bet ) Awards, and she was so nice in person 🥹 ✨As she was walking, I asked if I could take a photo of her for Black culture, and she said, “Sure, if you can keep up with me walking.” 😭 😂Somehow my camera ended up in manual focus, so the photo came out a little blurry 📸 💔 But honestly… it still looks cool to me. Last night at the Apple Music ( @applemusic ) Studios was one of those nights I’ll never forget. Watching two Bompton legends, YG ( @yg ) and The Game ( @losangelesconfidential ), step onto the VERZUZ ( @verzuztv ) stage and represent the city I grew up in front of the entire world was nothing short of legendary. 🌴🏁🔥 This wasn’t just another concert or performance—it was a celebration of West Coast hip-hop, Compton culture, years of unforgettable music, and the impact both artists have had in the music industry. 👑🎶💯I can’t even lie… getting inside with my camera was lowkey a struggle/misson. 😅📸 There were definitely moments where I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it in, but I stayed patient, kept pushing, and found a way. 💪🏾🙏🏾 As a photographer, these are the moments I dream of documenting, so there was no way I was giving up that easily. Sometimes you’ve got to fight for the opportunity to capture history. 🎥📷✨Being able to stand there, witness the energy firsthand, hear the crowd go crazy, and freeze these moments forever through my lens is something I’ll always appreciate.
