So my friends another comp is on the horizon, and I came up with this little number! So I give to you….

“Blessing of Kynareth”

This shall be my entry for 2026 @ncneancreations cocktail competition.

This refreshing whisky highball could not be possible without @ncnean Organic! This is the foundation of this drink. This Whisky highball is truly inspired by the history of NcNean more leading towards her name and her origins. Neachneohain known in Gaelic folk lore as the queen of spirits and being a powerfull goddess of wild animals, rivers and even the moon. But above all she was a skilled huntress herself and never feared to walk her own path.

This inspired me to develop a cocktail that I could pour a bit of myself into as well. Now it’s no secret that I am a massive nerd, just look where I work😂.

So for this years competition I have taken inspiration from a game near and dear to my heart, Skyrim.

For those of you that don’t know it is a game full of life where you are this chosen character in the narrative destined for greatness and to save the world from plunging into chaos. Now I wanted to represent one of the gods from the Nordic pantheon her name is Kynareth. Much like our story from NcNean hers is very much the same.

So what better way is there to display both of these breath taking figures but in fact with story and spirits!

The interesting brief was rather fun to work around so I was inspired with a well known tonic wine in Scotland made by monks, the same monks in the world of Skyrim that would worship this goddess of the hunt, wind and warriors.

A little red wine vinegar to balance the sweetness of her blessing on this journey, and a soda made from the finest red grapes. This would be a drink to revitalise our hunters and to make sure their aim is true, and with The Blessing of Kynareth they shall find their mark.

Thank you and hopefully you get to try this refreshing drink to take the edge of this heatwave, I know im enjoying it as I write this 😂

Florance has been incredible so far, and there is no one on this earth I would rather share these fantastic moments with than @carla_wats0n23 , she’s everything to me really. Plus she laughs at my shitty jokes and history facts based on assassins creed knowledge from when I was a kid 😂😂 turns out it’s honestly help navigating the city, as well as knowing information about the Medici family 😂

Just want to take this moment to say im so incredibly happy with my life, with my partner, my friends, my work. And it only goes up never down!

Here is a little twist on a margarita I’ve been thinking about for this years @pernodricarduk #margaritamasters

The Mariachi

Taking inspiration from where my beautiful tequila Altos comes from I wanted to give us the joy of music and create something a little bit fun! The ingredients I’ve chosen have been inspired by the nature of the mariachi way of life! Everything from there Ranchero roots to there angry or somewhat intense emotions used in Ranchera style of songs.

Altos means high when translated, but can also mean loud! And boy do I want this cocktail to be loud. Hope your enjoy!

Using ingredients as follows;

* Altos - Plata
* Corn liquor
* Acidified dragon and blood orange fruit juice
* Mexican inspired chocolate syrup

Garnish
* Chocolate musical note
* Hot chili and ground salt rim.

Here was my trip to spring bank! The Asgard of whisky distilleries. Such a fantastic time and had some great moments the whole trip! Making new friends, catching up with old ones, and all over a few fantastic drams!!

I loved every moment of this trip and I think it was truly an experience to be spoiled for! If you ever get the chance to go do so!

Good evening ladies and gents! Here you will find my submission for the one the only Ron Santiago de Cuba cantineros collective competition

So what I have for you to observe today is something I call De Familia Carnival. I really wanted to try and capture the essence of what Cuba is and what better way to represent that with its signature rum, Ron Santiago de Cuba!

So I based my cocktail on one of Cuba’s most significant events of the year, De Santiago Carnival. A festival that is truly at the heart of Cuban culture and represents the country in such a unique and colourful way. Its goal is to have fun, celebrate with family and friends and enjoy good food and pair it with even better drinks. So what I decided to do is try and blend ingredients together much like how the festival itself blends cultures from different walks of life.

Cuba has an interesting blend of cultures raging from Spanish and Portuguese to even African. So I decided to use ingredients that are fun, colourful and flavourful. Fruits that are both found in Cuba and Africa. Using a port that has origins related to Portugal and due to the over lap in history and culture all of these countries have a part to play in how the culture in Cuba is so diverse and free!

Not only that but looking at the splented history of the daiquiri and still trying to maintain its roots in the heart of this cocktail.

So here she is! All the ingredients I have elected to use with Ron Santiago de Cuba 11y as the most crucial ingredient of all!

Homemades*

🍹- Ron Santiago de Cuba 11y
🍋‍🟩 - super lime*
🥭- Mango and Papaya syrup *
🍷 - Port
🏳️‍🌈 - a homemade multicoloured sherbet rim*

Could not ask for a better rum to work with. And I am blessed to enjoy it with friends and family of my own!

This was a drink done for our geeky about us take over at my place of work. My home away from home the @thecocktailgeeks

THE WILL OF FIRE!

Taking great inspiration from an ideology that the people of the village hidden in the leafs use in their every day life!

It is better put to be a way of life, it encourages love, loyalty, warmth and affection to one’s clan, comrades and village. To protect those things at all cost, but sadly as time goes by this concept gets twisted.

Some people and organisations such as the deep rooted foundation of the Abu black ops core believe that everything must come after the village. To protect and even in some cases killing to hold onto this ideology for as long as possible.

A fantastic example of this is Itachi Uchiha killing his whole clan for the sake of the village to protect it from an uprising from within the walls.

But when the first Hokage made the village the warmth and love he shared flows deep in this drink itself!

Alright, it’s that time of year again we’re one of us gets older first.

Today is the fantastic birthday of one Carla Watson, this woman is everything to me and I don’t know what I would do without her in my life. She bugs the hell out of me but I do the same so it’s even.
