“God of War has found its Atreus. Callum Vinson (Chucky, Long Bright River, A24’s upcoming Crystal Lake) has been cast as Atreus, the 10-year-old son of Kratos (Ryan Hurst), in Prime Video‘s series adaptation of PlayStation’s ancient mythology-themed video game, from Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios.”

We’re off on a new adventure!! CONGRATULATIONS to longtime Prep student @CallumVinson who leads the highly anticipated #GodOfWar cast alongside the incomparable Ryan Hurst @rambodonkeykong, @MandyPatinkin & more! 🔥 Couldn’t be more proud of Callum’s hard work in bringing #Atreus to life, and can’t WAIT for what’s to come.

On a personal note, this marks my 90TH career #SeriesReg coaching, and it’s a GREAT one. Get ready for an unbelievable series!!

Shoutout to Callum’s awesome reps @rebelcreativegroup @natashamatallanamarken @innovativeartists @abbybluestone for all they do for this rockstar! #BookedIt #CallumVinson taken in New York, New York by @callumvinson

This was the project that you read and just know it’s “the one” for so many reasons. Amazing cast and creative team, filming close to home, but most of all because of the story. Long Bright River is such a powerful riveting novel that will bring you to the edge of your seat, while also bringing to light the opioid crisis that is so real in so many people’s lives. I read the book in a day, and the series is going to be just as amazing.
We can’t wait for the world to see it ❤️

@natashamatallanamarken @shannschachter @rebelcreativegroup @gabonsocial @theresapittius @sdpelsman
@michcavall @jenn8gonzo We love you all and thank you for everything you did to help get him to this point and to make this one happen for him! We are so freaking lucky to have such an amazing team in our corner 🙏

Thank you also to Callum’s fav

This scene was a favorite working with @stephenmoyer and @theadamarkin 🌌🌌

It was cold 🥶 but Stephen was the absolute best! Not just this night, but every single day we worked together. Always a smile on his face and excited to share his expertise with Callum. We couldn’t have asked for a better “father” 💕

Grateful to #shawnryan, the writers, producers, Netflix & Sony, & all the hardworking crew for making this show happen! 🙏🔥🙏🔥
