Help support a student research project and help make Spanish-language health information easier to understand! 🧠📄

All Spanish skill levels are welcome. The session takes about 30–45 minutes. Snacks are provided and your participation can make a real difference.

Sessions will take place Monday, October 19, and Tuesday, October 20, from 5:00–6:00 PM. Scan the QR code on the flyer to express interest—participants will receive separate follow-up information to sign up.

@calpoly_admissions United by Excellence is inviting current Cal Poly students to participate in our Latinx Heritage Student Panel on Friday, October 23, 2026.

This panel will give visiting high school students the opportunity to hear directly from Cal Poly students about their college journeys, experiences, challenges, growth, and sense of community. We are looking for students from a range of majors, backgrounds, communities, and college pathways who are interested in sharing their stories in an authentic and welcoming conversation.

No prior panel or public speaking experience is required.

Panel time: 1:00-1:30 PM
Check-in: 12:50 PM

Being the first in your family to go to college does not mean you have to figure it out alone.

UNIV 1111: First-Generation College Students Dialogue is a one-unit, CR/NC course that centers the experiences of first-generation students who hold marginalized identities. It is a supportive space to explore your identities and experiences, connect with peers, build community, and develop tools and resources for your journey at Cal Poly.

With small sections of up to 10 students, this course offers space for meaningful, student-centered dialogue.

• Mondays, 2:00 to 3:50 PM
• Tuesdays, 2:00 to 3:50 PM

Come as you are, share what matters to you, and find community along the way.
