Promise made. Promise kept.

Twenty years ago, Cal’s Angels began with a promise — that we would never stop fighting for better treatments, better outcomes, and a future without pediatric cancer.

Through a $4 million commitment to Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, the Cal’s Angels Advanced Leukemia Clinical and Research Program is now open — a place where groundbreaking care and research meet, right here at home.

As our co-founder and president, Stacey Wahlberg, shared at today’s ribbon cutting:
“Two decades ago, we dreamed of a world where Cal’s Angels wouldn’t need to exist — because no child would have to fight cancer. That dream is still ahead of us. But today, we’ve reached the next best thing: families can now stay right here at home for the kind of care Cal needed. What once felt impossible is now possible — and it’s our promise to our beautiful Cal, fulfilled.”

This isn’t just a milestone, it’s a message: when we say we’ll fight for these kids, we mean it.

Meet Kiley, Cal’s stepsister.

Watching Cal fight cancer changed her life. His journey inspired her to become a nurse, turning something deeply personal into a career caring for others.

Now, she’s running 26.2 miles in his honor and for every family facing childhood cancer.
