First off I want to thank everyone for the thoughts, prayers, calls, and kind messages. It truly means the world to me to see how many people care. August 28th was the toughest night of my life. After tearing my ACL last November, I committed 5-6 days a week to the rehab process, sometimes 3 to 4 hours a day of PT. in my first game back I re-tore my ACL after making a cut. After talking with multiple doctors, PT’s, and family members I was told I would sustain permanent damage if I were to try and play through it. This news was crushing as I was fully prepared to sacrifice anything to be able to play one last season with my teammates. I’m devastated as I was looking forward to having a great senior year with my teammates and family.

Even though this was a tough experience, I couldn’t be more grateful for the time I got to share with my teammates, coaches, and the community involved with the program. I can’t explain how blessed I am to be apart of such a great group of people that I can call family. As I got older, I realized I needed Battlefield football a lot more than it needed me. The experiences, life lessons, people, and coaching were unmatched. I can’t thank the coaching staff enough, not only for making me a better player, but for making me a better man as well.

The last 4 years I’ve spent under the lights at Battlefield have been a surreal experience. It’s been a blessing to represent Battlefield and play in front of such amazing and supportive people. I wouldn’t trade my time on this team for anything. I’m forever indebted to this program and couldn’t be more blessed for what it’s brought me. I can’t wait to support my brothers from the sideline and watch them continue to succeed. God has a plan and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me at The University of Richmond. Thank you for a great 4 years Battlefield.
