This is just the beginning❤️. In September 2023, I made a firm decision to quit modeling for good. However, in January 2024, despite encountering numerous modeling opportunities, I refrained from pursuing them due to fear and low self-esteem. But, I reconnected with God, and my dreams were reignited! And when it comes to my dreams, I don’t mess around. Since then, I have been doing a photoshoot every month, and on March 18th, I was chosen to be a part of Vogue. I had always dreamt of it, but I never thought I would be chosen. So, don’t give up on your dreams, keep pushing! Ps. Get used to seeing me this is just the beginning🤭🫶🏿 @photovogue by @calyadavis

Every photoshoot I do there’s a message behind it. This photoshoot message is… I’m not what I’m going through.

This year I’ve been incredibly big on transparency. The start of this year has honestly been so hard on me mentally, physically, & spiritually. Modeling is a career I started a year ago & within the year of me modeling my physical health has been a roller coaster. From not being able to move one minute to being able to do everything under the sun. I’m not the type to express my downhills. But it’s honestly just apart of my story, that I know has to be shared because it’s going to touch others. My eczema has become so severe to the point where hospitals have become my second home, to the point where I let it steal my confidence, my joy, my everything. I’m starting to get back the mindset of my Heavenly Father said I’m fearfully & wonderfully made so why would I allow anything or anyone tell me anything less. The skin that I’m in doesn’t cancel out the promises of God.

As I look at these amazing photos I can’t do anything but smile because I would have never thought in a million years I’d be out here modeling with eczema my biggest “flaw”. Literally looking in the mirror at my insecurities wondering; Am I really beautiful? Do I really have purpose? Asking God, All these flaws & God you still want me for your kingdom? He simply answered, “You are fearfully & wonderfully made, your beauty is going to draw others closer to me.” Listen when he said that listennn!!! Confidence was on 100000!!! Many opportunities for my beauty, for my “insecurities” to shine came. 2022 I’m dropping my insecurities & embracing my unique designs.
