!! semester 2 !!

Wow, how do I even put into words what the first year at eu looked like? To do it justice I would need to write a book so if you have time for a story keep reading :)

The only way to describe second semester is unexpected!! There were some high highs, and some low lows. There was so many adventures as far as Tulsa, to Arkansas, to Illinois, to Minnesota and anywhere in between! There were so many opportunities that I never would’ve dreamed of! There were so many sweet conversations with old friends and new ones!! We caught so many sunsets, saw all the stars and spent way too much at sonic! There were endless coffee dates, plenty of walks and so many pictures!
Never have I ever been so thankful for a place that became home so quickly! Never have I ever been so thankful for people who became family! Never have I ever been so thankful that the Lord does things His way and not mine!!

2025 ~ Growth

From roadtrips to surprises, from graduation to moving to SA, from pickleball to chasing sunsets, from Alaska to Missouri, 2025 was a year of major growth!
The amount of times I found myself saying “this is insane” probably wasn’t healthy but hey we’re still alive :)

While I was in South Africa someone spoke a verse over me, Romans 5:3-5 “not only so, but we also glory in our suffering, because we know that suffering produces perseverance: perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us a shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our heart through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” I highlighted it in my Bible and wrote a little note next to it saying who gave it to me and when, but didn’t think much of it after that. Just now I decided to really dive into what it’s really talking about. I did some digging on what the word glory means in this verse. This can be translated back to the Greek word Doxa. It can mean one of two things in the New Testament but in this verse is referencing a most glorious condition, most exalted state. It means to be in jubilation, to celebrate, to exalt, to rejoice, to boast, to glory about. Paul uses very bold words in this verse. He’s asking us to celebrate in our suffering not in the good times but when it really feels like our backs are up against the wall. Paul knows exactly what suffering feels like and he still chose to use that word for this verse.

~ a glimpse into my week at home ~

I think I shed more tears in the last week then I have in a very long time 🥲
The hand of God is so evident over the whole town of Albany!! How sweet has it been to watch as the dream on my parent’s heart has come to fruition!

The night before launch we got together and prayed over each and every chair and the day ahead. At the end mom asked who had imagined they’d be in this building prepping for a church plant… not one person raised their hand, it was a “wow God” moment. None of us could have planned what would happen on Sunday, none of us could have dreamed the building we would have and the reaction we have from the community!
To cut to the chase, Sunday morning the building was PACKED!!! I mean every chair filled, extras pulled out, and people still standing 😭

Oh how grateful I am that the Lord established my steps at Evangel 🥲
It’s not even possible to fit the last couple weeks in 20 slides!
It is so evident that God has his hand upon this campus!! Here’s a few of the ways I’ve seen Him so far:
- this community
- the sunsets
- my sweet sweet friends
- flowers
- cutie little coffee shops
- the comfort of my room
- quiet time with Him

It’s my favorite persons birthday!!

I don’t think she’d appreciate me sharing her age so here is just 10 things I love about my momma:

a sweet sweet summer !!

The only word that could be used for this summer is unexpected!
It’s the summer I found my people, slowed down and enjoyed the moment! It’s the summer where some hard things had to be surrendered but through that there was so much growth!! It was the summer I tangibly felt God come sit next to me and teach me it’s easier when you do hard things together! It’s the summer where I truly became thankful for my family, my city, and my surroundings!! It’s the summer that everything changed!
