18th and 19th century Chinese antiques for @heffelauction

So interesting to work with such historic pieces which include a 18th century Beijing enamel snuff bottle (1 of 13 ever found) and 19th century white jade pendants, plaques. by @cam.fong

Had so much fun architecting this beautiful evening, from the tableaus on the table, featuring heliconia hyacinth pincushion and very special Japanese orchid, softened and held by slate rock, volcanic salt, and shards of Himalayan salt as well as a special nod to our origins wrought iron (Sarb-Loh) vessels.

This installation featured custom fabric covers, a reimagination of the ghost chairs draped over with various deep red, brown and charcoal silk organza custom covers. The variants reflecting natures bespoke tendencies.

The light installation made of two custom panels of fabric on 8ft stretchers provided a veil of red light bringing the whole table to a recognizable intimacy.

This evening came together, as an ode to and in reflection of ‘On Earthing and Petrichor’ an exhibition that reflects the zeitgeist today and provides a haven to those that dream of a high-trust society that lives in tandem with nature.
