‘CHANDELIER’

spring/summer 2025

this kinetic suspension sculpture was crafted for ‘Body Language 4’~ an event hosted by @exploriasound that celebrates the diversity, community and liberation found within dance music culture. The folks at exploria have created a space for me there to build the art of my dreams.. their trust and support means the world to me :’)

this footage was produced by my hero @maikahearson without whom i would have only a pile of iphone recordings documenting this piece. thank you Maika!! 🩵🩵🩵

thanks @automatic.audio and @atelier.bontrain for shop space use!

thanks @noahmsoroka for the wood and for your support and kindness!

thanks to my friend Gavin Cameron who brought ropes and took the lead on the suspension plan!

Huge shoutout to @itscloverdale for going crazy on the lighting and elevating the sculpture beyond my own visions!

and thanks Bryanna, Logan, Erin, Jerrick, Wynn, Dom, Robert & Lorna, and my dad who all chipped in along the way 💫

and finally thanks to everyone who offered kind words during and since the event.. presenting this sculpture has been an overwhelmingly positive experience that will shape the future of my creative work 💥 by @cam___peck

Now that the dust has settled, the mud has dried, and our team has rested up. It’s time to acknowledge last weekend.

Where do we even begin?

In 2022, we started Body Language as a backyard party with 100 people. That year, friends kept commenting on how lovely the people in attendance were and how it felt like a family affair. Fast forward to BL4, and we’ve been able to maintain that special atmosphere.

It takes the right people to make the party go off like that, and from the bottom of our hearts, we thank each and every one of you who attended. Thank you for putting your trust in us. Thank you for dancing your heart out. Thank you for creating that special atmosphere. Thank you for helping out fellow partygoers in need.

We’ve got a lot to post about over the next while, but we thought we would start it off by highlighting the centrepiece of the weekend - The Chandelier. This piece of art was created by our dear friend @cam___peck . We can’t wait to see what Cam does for us next year! by @cam___peck
