Some Astro captures I got last year out in the Goderich area of Ontario. The Milkway slowly creeping up on the first image and about 2 hours later it was in its full faze 🌌 if you zoom in on the very middle of the first image you can see a blue / green Meteor ☄️ I captured that night. This was by far one of the most insane dark sky events I seen in Ontario.

Missed the moment… but not the memory. ☄️

Back in mid-October 2024, the sky lit up with Comet Tsuchinshan–ATLAS (C/2023 A3) - a rare visitor from the outer edges of our solar system, swinging past Earth for the first time in tens of thousands of years. A frozen time capsule of dust and ice, glowing as it burned through the darkness… something ancient, moving fast, and gone just as quickly.

I never got around to posting these. It was a difficult photo to master with the abandon house. Didn’t get the clearest shot of the stars but the comet came out clear!

Shot over an abandoned house in Haldimand County, Ontario — somewhere quiet, where the light fades and the sky still feels untouched. Even without perfect clarity, moments like this don’t come often.

Sometimes it’s not about perfection it’s about being there when it mattered.

There’s something about the Adirondack Mountains that stays with you long after you’ve left. 🇺🇸

These mountains aren’t just landscapes they’re layers of history, shaped by time, industry, and wilderness. From early logging routes and iron works to becoming one of the most protected park regions in the United States, the Adirondacks carry a story you can actually feel as you move through them.

And tucked deep within these mountains sits Lake Placid a place that brought the world together not once, but twice, hosting the Winter Olympics in 1932 and again in 1980. A small mountain town with a global legacy… you can still feel that energy in the air.

Driving through upstate New York, every turn feels like stepping into something untouched. Quiet lakes, endless forest, winding roads it’s the kind of place that reminds you why you chase the road in the first place.

I truly enjoyed exploring this region, taking it all in, and just letting the journey unfold. Road trips like this aren’t just about the destination, they’re about reconnecting with that sense of freedom and curiosity. This is what drove me to travel more and explore. Open my eyes to bigger things in the world.

And this is only the beginning…

A tiny island in the middle of nowhere... but it’s been here longer than you can imagine.

Carved during the Last Glacial Maximum, when massive ice sheets covered New York, this entire landscape was scraped, cracked, and reshaped. As the glaciers moved, they gouged out the lakes and when they melted, the water stayed.

What didn’t erode? Stayed behind.

That’s what this is. A stubborn piece of ancient Adirondack rock billions of years old standing alone while everything else was worn down around it.

No people. No noise. Just water, stone, and a story that started in the ice age.

Alone at the edge of the world, where the ocean doesn’t whisper it roars. The lighthouse still stands, battered by wind and time, holding its ground against the dark. 💡 added in the black & white look I’ve always admired black & white photography. Gives a truly nostalgic feel.

More than just a name it’s home, heritage, and history running deep in my blood.

Proud of my Celtic roots today and every day. Grateful for where I come from, the stories that built us, and the land that will always feel like home.
