On this day 10 years ago I lost the most important person in my life. I miss you everyday and would take your place any day. I still wonder how I made it this far without you. You’re my biggest inspiration to keep going in life. As much as I feel like I can’t make it and that I’m failing, I keep going because I know I have to make you proud. I have to continue pushing in order to achieve my goals. And I know nothing in my lifetime will ever amount to the amount of pain that you had to go through. I’m excited to share that I have the opportunity to attend the 2027 Student Nurses’ Association Convention, October 20–22, 2027, with Alcorn State University!

We are currently fundraising to help cover convention dues, hotel accommodations, transportation, and other travel expenses.

I can’t believe it’s been 9 years without you today!! I still don’t know how I do this thing called life without you. I’m so glad that you no longer have to suffer anymore. I’m going to continue to be the strong woman that I’m becoming and I owe it all to you. You were the strongest person I knew. Everything I do I do for you. I can’t believe it’s been 8 years it’s felt like an eternity. 8 years without my momma, my best friend, my number 1 supporter, my reason for living and now my favorite angel. I miss you so so much everyday it never gets easier. The last 8 years of this life without you has been a challenge every single day. Some days the only reason I get out the bed is because I know I have too make you proud and continue your legacy. It’s so much that has happened over the years that I wish I could tell you. Times like this I wish heaven had a phone. I think of the future and always say “She will never be able to see me graduate college, get married, have kids or anything!” I would take your place without a doubt in my mind. You were taken from me way to soon. I know that you are in a better place but I wish I could have one last conversation with you. If I knew that your last day here would be my last day with you I would have changed a lot. I promise I’m gonna try my best to make you proud. I love and miss you so so much. You can tell that she was sick in this video. You can tell in her face. I can’t believe that on January 16, 6 years ago you died. I lost my mother, my best friend, my protector, and my reason for living. It’s been a struggle for me since you’ve died. If I could or if someone asked me to take your pain I would in a heartbeat. You’ve inspired so many people. You had such an impact on so many people’s lives. If you had the chance to be healthy and I take all your sickness and pain I would without even having to think about it. I made a promise to myself when you died to finish what you couldn’t and continue your legacy. I hope I’m making you proud. Rest In Peace my angel.
