Mexico en la Piel

Barragán pinks, sun-washed walls, and a city moving at its own rhythm.

Mexico City tastes different in good company.

Through their eyes, at a different pace:
food that fuels the soul,
mezcal and vino evenings,
architecture that moves
moments worth lingering over.

Five days. A trip on a whim.
Because why not?

Life is too short not to run with it,
say yes, pack a bag,
and go somewhere with your people.

CDMX, you did good. 🇲🇽

••|| TALIESIN RHYTHMS ||••
In the Language of Frank Lloyd Wright : The Desert as Muse.

Taliesin West, Phoenix, Arizona

Where the desert becomes structure, form drawn directly from landscape.

Wright’s desert laboratory at Taliesin West, a site specific expression of organic architecture, framed by its surroundings and mirrored back through its own architectural language, a continuous dialogue between material, light and terrain.

Triangles repeat throughout the space, echoing the desert’s geometry.

A single pool reflects the mountains beyond it.
Rhythm and repetition as a quiet grammar of place.

Not imposed on the land, but formed by it.

• || RED ROCK DAYS ||• >>
Some days stay with you —differently:

7 days moving through red rock country with my dad | the kind of trip that stays with you.

• 139,000+ steps
• 2 states
• 5 hikes
• 5 canyons
• 3 national parks
• 1 waterfall
a lot of red rock in between

In between terracotta giants and stone arches
coral pink dunes and long desert drives
horseback trails, sunset chases, mango beer nights

Places that feel unreal while you’re in them
and somehow even more unreal after

There’s something about the desert —
it slows everything down, sharpens what matters, and leaves you a little different than when you arrived

and somewhere between all of it,
you realize the trip wasn’t just what you saw, but what it changed in you.

Shape, Shadow, Salt •

In the quiet geometry of Barragán’s early work, I felt the pulse of a language I’ve always loved — colour as structure, light as intention, space as emotion.

A study in clarity: clean lines, bold shadows, meaning carved through restraint.

Beyond those walls, the trip unfolded in fragments — (full Vitamin T): tacos, tortas, tequila, tostadas, turtles, tides.
Pieces stitched between architecture and ocean.

Visiting LA, I found spaces that embodied this tension—a reminder that creativity can be both grounding and uplifting, anchoring us while inviting new perspectives.

••||FULL HEART: FULL START||••>>
January 2025, you did good.

Starting the year back home with my family, then returning to Vancouver with my Ramos Bravo girls—couldn’t ask for a better way to begin 2025.

Their presence made mountains glow in pastel hues. Sunrises and sunsets painted the skies. The fog came to play, wrapping the city in softness, as if nature itself knew something special was happening.

Grateful for sunrises etched into my soul, for laughter that echoed deep, for moments so divine they can only be called a gift, and for soaking in the sweetest auntie moments with Sofia.

Time so precious, it will echo in my heart for a lifetime.

These moments are but glimpses of a beautiful start to my year—I don’t know what’s next, good or bad, but I know that starting my year right will make all the difference. by @camcaptures_

Snippets of our trip to Lisbon in October

Lisbon’s blend of stunning views, vibrant streets, bold architecture, and incredible wines made this trip unforgettable. One highlight: Alejandro Aravena’s EDP building, a concrete masterpiece that erases traditional notions of floors. The cantilever design creates a dynamic space that mirrors the hills of Lisbon, standing in vivid contrast to the city’s colorful architecture and iconic tile ceilings.

Between sips of Vino Verde, bites of Pastel de Nata, exploring Lisbon’s many miradores, and delving into the layers of history, design, and flavor, Lisbon reminded us that beauty often lies in how the layers come together.. taken in Lisbon, Portugal by @camcaptures_
