READ THIS CAREFULLY.

I’m 48. 

These are 8 habits that can change your life… and I wish I would’ve figured them out sooner.

1. Protect your mornings.
Stop giving the best part of your day to your phone, other people’s problems, and other distractions. Win the morning.

2. Lift weights. Consistently.
It’s bigger than muscle. Being strong changes how you carry yourself, builds confidence, and gives you a body that can actually keep up with the life you want to live.

3. Learn to delay gratification.
Most people trade what they really want for what feels good right now. Learn to say no today so you can have more tomorrow.

4. Keep the promises you make to yourself.
Every time you say you’re going to do something actually f*cking do it, you build self-trust. That’s where real confidence comes from.

5. Pay attention to your circle.
The people around you are either raising your standards or slowly lowering them. Choose accordingly.

6. Get your money right.
Learn how to earn it, save it, invest it, and control it. Money doesn’t guarantee happiness, but constantly stressing about it can steal a whole lot of peace.

7. Take recovery seriously.
Sleep. Nutrition. Stress. Rest.
You can’t run yourself into the ground forever and call it discipline.

8. Get comfortable being uncomfortable.
Hard conversations. Hard workouts. Taking risks. Starting over. Doing shit when you’re scared.
That’s where growth happens.

None of this is about being perfect.

It’s about becoming someone you can count on.

Especially when nobody is watching.

14-hour workday. I was cooked.

I didn’t want to train. I could’ve skipped it, moved it to another day, and had a perfectly reasonable excuse.

But every time you break a promise to yourself, you teach yourself that your word doesn’t mean anything.

And every time you keep one…especially when you’re tired, busy, stressed, or unmotivated…. you build a little more trust in yourself.

That’s where confidence is built.

Not talk. Not motivation. Evidence.

One of the biggest lies we tell ourselves is that we’re not capable of the life we actually want.

Most of the time, you don’t lack the ability.

You lack the confidence to go after it.

And confidence isn’t something you’re born with. It’s built.

Every time you keep a promise to yourself.
Every time you do hard shit when you don’t feel like it.
Every time you choose discipline over comfort.
Every time you take a chance on yourself when you’re scared as hell.

That’s how you build proof that you can trust yourself.

I’ve made some scary decisions in my life. Changed directions. Started over. Bet on myself when there was absolutely no guarantee it was going to work.

I wasn’t fearless.

I had just built enough discipline, confidence and momentum to know I’d figure it out.

Here’s what I think builds real confidence:

1. KEEP THE PROMISES YOU MAKE TO YOURSELF.
If you say you’re going to train, train.
If you say you’re changing something, change it.
Self-respect comes from keeping promises to yourself.

2. TAKE OWNERSHIP OF YOUR BODY.
Train hard. Eat like you give a shit. Take care of yourself.
It’s not just about looking better. There’s something powerful about knowing you’re in control of your body instead of letting yourself go.

3. HAVE SOMETHING YOU’RE CHASING.
You need a target. A mission. Something that makes you get your ass out of bed and move forward.
Small wins stacked every day create momentum.

4. QUIT NUMBING YOURSELF.
Booze. Porn. Drugs. Food. Whatever your escape is.
If every uncomfortable emotion sends you looking for something to numb it, you’ll never learn how strong you actually are.

5. GET AROUND PEOPLE WHO EXPECT MORE FROM YOU.
People who challenge you. Call you on your bullshit. Celebrate your wins but don’t let you hide behind excuses.

You don’t magically wake up confident one day.

You earn it.

One hard decision.
One kept promise.
One uncomfortable step at a time.

Eventually you look back and realize…
