@filmquest was an absolute blast!! Had the honor of screening our film @whitebox_shortfilm alongside so many crazy, moving, incredible short films. The energy at this festival is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced and I’m so grateful to have been a part of it. Thank you to all the new people I met who were so warm and welcoming (and all the familiar faces from ScreamFest too!) Cheers to my first (but certainly not last) FilmQuest :) by @camduska
Thank you to everyone who attended the world premiere of @whitebox_shortfilm at @screamfestla!! Last week was a crazy dream come true for @saw.sheep, me, and our whole wonderful crew. Special thank you to all the incredible directors we met at screamfest who were so kind and encouraging to us as first-time filmmakers. We met so many incredible people and we’re so excited to keep sharing this film with the world. Next stop, @filmquest! by @camduska

Ode to my UArts friends. During my first few weeks of knowing him, my lovely friend Dani said, “I feel like we’re going to be friends for a long time.” I believe in manifesting, not as a particularly spiritual person but as someone who believes in the power of words. I think saying something out loud or writing it down gives it power, makes it far more likely to happen. I write down my goals often for this reason. I will get my degree in Animation and create something beautiful when I get a career. I will work on movies and TV shows and show my friends and family. I will be proud of the things that I create, and I will share those things with the world. Those were the kinds of goals I wrote down over the past year. I’ve been invested in achieving my career goals now that I finally got into school and was moving forward. I am still invested in my future career, but in the face of my school closing, I wanted to manifest some other goals. I will continue to foster the relationships I made with the beautiful, talented, incredibly people I met at UArts. We may not go to school together anymore, but we will continue to be friends for a long time, as my good friend Dani put it. I will continue to support all of you in your future careers, and I will never stop loving you. I look up to so many of the friends I made here, not only as friends but as teachers in a sense. You are all so skilled and determined and it inspires me to be better. I was going to write a personal message to as many friends as I could think of, but I got cut off by the character limit on instagram. The gist of it—you are all some of the most talented, kind, incredible people I have ever met, and I genuinely look up to each and every single one of you as artists. I am so glad to have met you. Another day on the steps of Hamilton with these beautiful people. All day yesterday I was in awe of the musicians and dancers around me. I genuinely felt like the demonstration I was attending was fun, like I was attending an arts festival rather than the destruction of my educational institution. I wish different circumstances could have brought us together like this. I wish we could have performed and danced and painted in the streets of Philadelphia without something so tragic lingering in the background. People keep using the word “heartbreaking,” but I feel so lucky that I get to be part of something so beautiful. I am lucky to have met so many kind people in the past few days, students and alumni who I never would have interacted with had this never happened. I feel more a part of my community than ever, and I mourn for the people of Philadelphia that they will lose such a rich body of writers, actors, dancers, musicians, and above all else, ARTISTS. See you at the march today. We are not leaving yet. by @camduska
