Erik, I’m so proud to have called you my friend, and I feel incredibly lucky to have shared the time I did with you, brother. The news of your passing hit me hard, and I’m still trying to gather myself and process that you’re really gone.

You were the fucking MAN.

I never would have gone skydiving if it wasn’t for you pushing me into it, and I’ll always be grateful that you did. That experience is something I’ll carry with me forever, just like so many of the memories we made together.

The number of times we helped each other out, got each other out of sketchy situations, pushed each other, and challenged one another to accomplish things we never thought we could do is impossible to count. So many of those moments wouldn’t have happened without your constant drive, your energy, and your refusal to let me settle for less.

You taught me so many lessons that I’ll never forget, and you gave me a new perspective on so many things in life. I hope you knew how much of an impact you had on the people around you, because you truly made a difference in my life.

I love you, bro. God bless your soul, Erik “Senders” Sanders.
