I’m not leaving. Cancel my plans, forward my mail, tell everyone I’ve entered my winter era.

The black stone, walls of glass, snow-covered forest and a bathtub with that view? This is exactly how I plan to become completely unavailable until spring.

A rain curtain over the pool is an absolutely absurd thing to have. I’ll take two.

I’m having a very difficult time being normal about this kitchen.

The enormous arched window, vaulted wood ceiling, stone walls and TWO islands. I haven’t even made it to the rest of the house and I’m already emotionally invested.

Then there’s the soaring stone fireplace, the black-and-white checkerboard pantry and an office that would have me voluntarily working overtime. Which is deeply concerning.

Anyway, I’ve started looking at real estate in Brentwood, Tennessee.

Texas vs. Tennessee today, and I feel like this is the only acceptable way to watch college football.

The outdoor TV, the fire pit, the seating. West Mod clearly takes entertaining as seriously as we take football in Texas. I need the entire setup, preferably before the next kickoff.

Hook ’em! 🤘

Chicago brownstone meets Texas, and I’m very much into this relationship.

This is Lacehaven Manor in Dallas, and the interiors are gorgeous. The exposed brick, black steel arches and wood-beamed ceilings give it that old-world character I love, while the contemporary furnishings and lighting bring everything up to date.

The office is gorgeous, the burgundy bathroom has an attitude, and I’m sorry, but even the laundry room has a wallpapered ceiling? Now I’m judging every laundry room I’ve ever walked into.

Seven One Five, I’ll be needing a tour.

📍Prestonwood, Dallas
Lacehaven Manor | 5 beds | 5.5 baths | 4,509 sq. ft.

I’m ready to ski for approximately 45 minutes and spend the next six hours drinking champagne in an outrageously expensive outfit. Après-ski is calling my name🍾

My ADHD has me watching this like I’m suddenly VERY interested in basketball. Girl, I don’t even play basketball, but now I need an indoor court for a hobby I’ll abandon in approximately three weeks.

Can we also talk about this backyard? The mountain views, that pool, the illuminated staircase. Imagine having all this outdoor space and still finding a reason to stay inside.

I give myself two practices before I’m back by the pool with a glass of wine.

Sicily, Madeira, Lake Como. I have a very specific idea of what my life looks like.

The architecture is gorgeous, the locations are ridiculous, and I see absolutely no reason to choose just one.

I’ve found where I’ll be unavailable this weekend 🌊

This house in Hawaii is basically one long argument for designing around the land you were lucky enough to get. The stone, covered terraces and deep overhangs give you all these shaded places to live outside, while the rooms stay completely connected to the water. My favorite move is the pool. Tucking it against the rock instead of giving it some enormous manicured deck makes that entire side of the house feel like it grew out of the coastline.

Imagine waking up here on a Saturday and having the audacity to complain about anything.
