One of the most important things in my life is connection. The interaction with people who make me smile and laugh, will give me a hug when I need it, who support me on this crazy adventure that is life. My sister has been with me since the age of 2. Since the day I met her we have been inseparable, practically twins. Distance has split us over the last 4 years as we continue to grow older and pursue our passions in different cities, states, and even countries. One thing I know for certain is that I have never stopped loving her.
She brings me back to my roots. Reminds me of the things I love. Family, nature, and dance. I will forever and always go hiking in Yosemite with you by the way!
@danadaners gave us this task of posting something that aligns with our values. When she asked us in workshop class to think of a place we loved being and why, the first thought I had was Yosemite National Park in California because of all of the memories I have created with my family. Camping under the stars, making a snowman that were practically just ice, hiking through the forests, driving around the valley floor, falling out of camping chairs. When I was imagining this landscape I was with my sister and we were sitting by a river and eating my famous hiking sandwiches together. It was peaceful and filled my soul.
Also side note we have been sticking those flowers on our noses since we were little and they are called sticky monkeys :)
