Clarissa of @latinsouldancesimcoe also had Simcoe Street feeling Latin vibes.

Clarissa has several dance classes happening...check them out and let those hips sway and feet move. by @cameraoncollingwood

When Collingwood Today featured me recently, I had to pause and reflect. A few years ago, I couldn’t have imagined wearing all these hats, storyteller, business owner, photographer, talkshow co-host, creator, promoter/talent manager, or community voice?

Truth is, I didn’t wait until I had it all figured out. I just leapt. That seems to be a thing I do...maybe Nike had it right all along....JUST DO IT! Easier said than done, at times.

And that leap? It gave me wings I didn’t even know I had.

So, to anyone standing in front of the unknown, I say this with sincere abandon, don’t wait for certainty. Step anyway. The path has a way of meeting you once you move.

Believe that!!

Thank you, Jessica, for the opportunity to share 🙏🏿 by @cameraoncollingwood

I love the feel of this place.

The walking.

The architecture.

Hilly or flat laneways that all lead to someplace.

Finding speakeasies, hidden restaurants, and shops with oodles of things.

Clothes hanging to dry outside of windows.

Tuk-tuks, scooters, bicycles...

The food is real, without being bloated.

Are there issues, absolutely, because nowhere is perfect, but watching how locals enjoy their spaces, screams to me.

Siesta anyone?

My gawd, what a place!

Portugal!!

If you're new here...don't expect me to sing and dance for your amusement.

Around here you take what you get...if you like it, I'm happy to have you, if you don't...simply keep on hun...as we say in the Caribbean, "no love lost."

So much pride celebrating my mentee, Janene Johnson @cameraoncollingwood, who centres human connection and joy through her events business, @patiopresents

And beside me, my co-mentors Katherine Maxwell of Blue Mountain Tea Company and Lil Rourke of Rourke CPA, members of the Female Founders Network @gillianfairly peer group I had the honour of facilitating this past year. Inside that group, they brought their hard questions and big challenges into my room. This year they were holding the room for someone else.

That is the ripple I care most about. How you lead shapes how others lead, and it keeps moving into rooms you may never walk into.

Add in new connections I can’t wait to sit down with, and I came to give and left with a full tank.

Thank you @sgb_sbec for the opportunity. And to every founder in that room, stay connected. These are the people who can change your world in ways you haven’t thought of yet.

What room are you part of right now that is making you better?

The year was 2015, on one faithful Saturday evening in September food adventure called my name, our names to @fkrestaurant

Be advised: this was in 2015...naturally menus, prices, and addresses have changed! The restaurant is now on St. Clair, and MICHELIN recognized!

A gal is reliving sweet memories!!

Lovely nice-nice....

I had no idea what my tastebuds were about to bare witness to.

My word...the FOOD!!!

...the FOOD!!!

...the FOOD!!

Dah FOOOOOD!!!!

This steak haunted me for years...still to THIS very day. I have NEVER had another ... wait...there was that steak at O&B(but that's for another time).

And then we hit the streets...
