“The system is 100 percent broken. We have so many talented players in this country who never get the opportunity to reach their potential simply because they cannot afford it. Some of the best players aren’t in the expensive academies. They’re out here playing on the streets, in backyards, or in local leagues. That’s where the real players come from. But they fall through the cracks because they can’t afford tryouts or agents. It’s unfair, and things need to change. We have to put players first, not profit. Their potential is never realized. And that’s the kind of loss you’ll never see in any statistic. I think the World Cup is generating a lot of attention, and deservedly so, especially here in the United States. We are trying to use that momentum to really move the sport forward and create lasting change, long after the World Cup is over.” Read the full article by @harhus3 on @nrksport Link below.⬇️ taken in Ventura, California by @cameron_dejong
