6 places to find your first UGC deal 👇 1. Instagram Make a UGC account and treat the page itself as the pitch, so instead of posting your life you’re posting the formats you can shoot, talking to camera, a testimonial, an unboxing, a tutorial. Once a brand can scroll your page and see you can do more than one thing, they start coming to you, and the ones that come to you are the ones where you get to set the price. 2. YouTube If you’re already making long form, brands will pay for a dedicated video about their product, which is one of the better paying deals out there. And here’s the part most people miss, because a brand paying for the long form almost always wants short form out of it as well, and that’s UGC. So one YouTube deal turns into work you can keep making for them. 3. Vidsy A creator platform where brands run campaigns and you apply to the ones you like the look of. Good place to start because the brief tells you exactly what they want, so you’re not guessing, and you get a few paid jobs behind you quickly. 4. Influee Same idea, another platform sitting between creators and brands. Worth having a profile set up on it even if you’re not applying every day, because the campaigns that come through are different to the ones on Vidsy and you don’t want to be the person who only checked one place. 5. Collabstr Another marketplace where brands go looking for creators to hire. You build out a profile with your rates and your work, and brands come to you through it, so it’s one of the few where the deal can land in your lap. 6. Creatorflow This is the one I’ve made the most money from by a mile. Only thing is it’s Australian based, so if you’re somewhere else it might not be the one for you, but if you’re in Australia I’d be on it today. The thing I’d say is don’t pick one and hope. Get on all of them, because it costs you nothing but an afternoon, and then keep the Instagram page running underneath it all so when a brand does look you up there’s something there worth looking at. by @cameron_mcdonnell
