It’s always a pleasure to play for the hometown crowd! I grew up seeing shows at the Forum in Binghamton, and it’s special to get to be back here again with this beautiful show. Plus, my wife got to sit in the pit! #TheBodyguardTour by @cameronblakekinnear

Last night in Toledo, we opened The Bodyguard, The Musical!

It has been such an incredible experience working alongside this wonderful and talented creative team, led by Sami Saltzman, Jim Cooney, and Darryl Archibald. What a joy it is to share space with such kind and passionate individuals who truly collaborate to make a show the best it can be. It’s been an honor.

I am especially thankful for the friendship and partnership with Darryl, whose generosity, dedication, and sharp wit has been a delight to work alongside everyday for a month!

Also, my band is fantastic. This is going to be a blast playing this show for everyone!

If you come to see this beautiful production please, come say hello down at the pit!

This post has taken far to long to make but it’s because it is so hard to put into words but here goes:
After 5 incredible years I am stepping away from a job that has truly changed my life. I will not be returning to the National tour of Chicago in the fall. I am filled with so many emotions surrounding this decision but the one that is most prevalent is gratitude. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be even a small part of this incredible legacy of artists. The past five years have transformative not only as musician, conductor and leader but as a human.

I am forever grateful to everyone who trusted me with this show; JP Meyer, Will Prather, Lauren Soben, and most importantly Robert Billig. Whose mentorship, guidance, trust and friendship has forever changed my life.

It has been an honor and a privilege to have worked with so many amazing artists; the cast, the CREW, the management team and of course all the musicians who have brought their talent to the bandstand over the last 5 years.

Many thanks to Tania Nardini, Gary Chryst, David Hyslop, and Greg Butler for all of their trust, guidance and kindness in trusting me to lead this beautiful show across the country.

While I know I will return to Chicago some day this see you later feels much harder than most.
