We found this cute little perfume shop where you can choose from a number of different perfumes and personalise your own — which Madison ended up doing! 💕 Such a fun little experience and only 135,000 IDR (£5.70). Day 3 of our Lombok adventures 🌴🌊

Today was all about exploring the Secret Gili Islands - west of Kuta. After a 2-hour drive, we found absolute paradise! 😍 Crystal-clear waters, beautiful coral, colourful fish and even bright orange starfish ⭐️🧡

Sadly, there was a bit of plastic floating around which was such a shame to see somewhere so beautiful, but it definitely didn’t dampen our day! 🥰

Finished the day with the most delicious ramen at Ramen Otaku 🍜🤤

Day 2 of travelling around Lombok 🌴🌊

We woke up early and headed to The Well in Kuta for a yummy breakfast before making our way to Selong Belanak Beach for the kids’ surf lessons! 🏄‍♀️

Mads absolutely smashed it and got up on her FIRST try! 🙌 The beach was absolutely incredible too 😍 What a way to spend our second day in Lombok! 🤍

There comes a day when you realise you’re not raising little children forever… you’re raising future adults.

We only get so many summers with them before they spread their wings and fly the nest. One day, they’ll be making memories of their own, and these moments will simply become stories we tell.

That thought was one of the biggest reasons we chose this journey. We wanted to trade waiting for “one day” for making memories today. More adventures. More sunsets. More conversations. More time. Because time with our children is the greatest gift we’ll ever have, and it passes far too quickly.

Here’s to slowing down, embracing the chaos, and making every summer count. ❤️

Lombok Vlog – Day 1 🌴✈️

Our Lombok adventure has officially begun! We left Bali on a 40-minute Wings Airways flight (£145.80 return for us), landed, picked up our scooter (£37 for 6 days), and headed straight to KLEO Beach Club to meet up with the Richardsons. 🛵☀️

We wrapped up the day with some seriously good food at Smash Burgers in Kuta 🍔, before checking into our room… just £20 per night! Not a bad way to start exploring this beautiful island.

Six months ago today, we arrived in Bali, and we had no idea just how much this adventure would change us.

Over the last six months, we’ve experienced so much! We’ve immersed ourselves in a beautiful culture, met incredible people, made lifelong memories, and embraced a completely different way of life. It’s had its challenges—jet lag, moldy villas, sickness, a rabies scare, and, not to mention, missing family and friends—but every single one has helped us grow.

Looking back, we’re so grateful we took the leap. This island has already given us more than we could have imagined, and it really feels like home.

We honestly can’t wait to see what the next six months have in store for us. Here’s to more adventures, new experiences, and making the most of every moment. 💛🌴✨

Happy Father’s Day to the most amazing dad.

Madison and I are so lucky to have you. You are the foundation and strength of our little family, always stepping up and making sure she has everything she needs in life. The love, patience and support you give her every day never goes unnoticed.

You have also made it possible for us to take this huge leap and move our lives across the world to start a whole new adventure together. I’m so grateful that we get to do this life with you.
