Had a solid sesh on the new @kilterboard today, must've been the fresh haircut by @nat.monkey that made all the difference 😏

Room Service V12 ☑️

With my trip to Squamish coming to an end, it was quite relieving to have put this one down. My first session on it felt great and I thought I'd be able to send this beautiful line fairly quick. Unfortunately, with the conditions firmly not on my side and my will power to rest being worse than I would've liked, each session felt more and more desperate. Luckily I had some great friends to support and push me forward that helped me believe I could do it. With my body having to adjust to the different style here and being destroyed from relentless projecting, I really had to dig deep for this one... I apologize for the excessive grunting 😅

Struggled hard on this one last year, managed to send on my first day back a year later! So psyched my training has been paying off, can't wait to see what else I can do!

My phone died while recording but luckily we had a GoPro filming as back up 🙏

Karasu V12 ☑️

My longest project by far! After sticking the first move (the crux) on my first or second session trying it, I figured it would go down fairly quick. Unfortunately, that couldn't be further from reality. At some point, early on in projecting this climb, I injured a ligament in my knee and for a long time (about 100 attempts) the move coming out of the kneebar felt heinous. It didn't hurt necessarily, but I guess it was weak and I couldn't get the pressure I needed to stay secure. I just kept telling myself I needed to be stronger, or better. I should have taken a break from the climb, but I was completely obsessed and I didn't feel like my knee was the problem. Finally though, after months of pandemic-enforced rest, I was able to come back to the climb fresh and sent it 2nd go on my first outdoor session of the season! The kneebar felt chill and I can heel hook again without any pain or discomfort. SO PSYCHED!

Got agonizingly close on a few stellar lines last trip. Hoping to get back out here one last time before it's covered in snow and ice! 🥶

Had a great time sampling granite blocs in Kanata Tremblant this weekend with a super strong and talented crew @ethansalvo @jakobaelliott @lucasuchida @taliachan1012

The granite in Kanata is incredibly sharp, a definitive contrast to the smooth limestone I'm used to climbing on in Ontario. It was quite the shock to the system, especially my skin 😖

The rock got the better of me this trip but I'm psyched and ready for the next one!!! 😈
