New Single: @uhhuhher_official - “Kool Thing”

The beloved electropop duo of @camgrey and @leishahailey reveal their blistering interpretation of Sonic Youth’s iconic feminist protest song, “Kool Thing”. Leisha explains, “It’s our love letter to this perfect feminist punk manifesto. We lead with Kim’s lyrics confronting patriarchal structures highlighting “fear of the female planet”. We deliberately left the male responses out. They’re absent by design. We’ve heard enough.”

Kill Rock Stars’ re-release of Uh Huh Her’s 2011 classic, Nocturnes, titled Nocturnes: Redux, is out August 7 across digital platforms and on limited edition goth confetti vinyl.

@camgrey and @leishahailey have returned as Uh Huh Her, the synth duo that would help define the indie sleaze era.

The reissue of their 2011 electropop classic, 'Nocturnes' is due out August 7 and features two new songs and original mixes by super producer Tchad Blake.

One of the new songs, released today, called “Shook” is Uh Huh Her for the modern age. Grey explains that the song is “particularly relevant in a time where everything and everyone feels so unstable. We are living through a profound assault on our central nervous systems by the barrage of media we ingest on a daily basis. While "Shook" is more about a personal situation, the title speaks volumes about what we feel as humans on a daily basis.”

To the land always being born, the land of fire and ice…I love this insanely beautiful country. “Wow”, is the only word that comes to mind. Words are abstractions, always pointing beyond themselves to describe something indescribable. This place is poetry in motion. It’s a dreamscape you physically get to walk through.
