Spreading this image to the universe and manifesting for an amazing and creative year! The year has finally properly started now that I arrived in Brazil 🇧🇷. Here you can see me contemplating the amazing studio of @rayanarayo. You can also take a look at my real life references: blue skies, green landscapes, sunlight - and how those appear vividly in my memory and in my art practice.

In my abstract painting hidden dreams will come to me if I just let myself open to it. In this one this is happening: I started with no plan, I continue with no plan and the colours just came to me. In this stage I liked it a lot, made a photo of it while I could. Now it is looking a tiny bit different, but this is a learning process, at least I know where I want to get to. I’m enjoying observing my process and writing about it more and more.

“Ilha do Passado” / “Islands in the past” explores the different versions of us that stayed isolated somewhere in the past, and how once in a while we take a ferry and do the crossing only to see the revisit the beautiful days we had again.

Current work in progress state of my wall! Feeling a little isolated lately, but it’s so good to be quiet and experimenting. Do you a see any favourites here? ❤️ taken in Berlin, Germany by @camicamila.art

Behind the scenes 👀
Speaking a bit about the process and all the work that happens around here, beyond mixing colours and painting the nice layers! Would you show up to stretch some canvas around here?

“Green tangle”, the renewing power of the forests. This one has for me a strong connection with Oxossi, our deity in the Afro-Brazilian mythology. It is teaching us the values of patience and harvesting, as I am trying my best to learn and apply at the moment.
How do you like the energy and movements here?
.
.
“O nó verde” mostra o poder renovador da floresta. Esse pra mim tem uma conexão com Oxóssi. Está nos ensinando a ter paciência, a colher o que se planta. E eu sigo tentando aprender e aplicar.
