They say sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith. About four years ago, I left the familiar behind. I transferred schools, chose a brand new major, and moved to a city I knew almost nothing about. It was terrifying. It was uncertain. And it was the best decision I have ever made. I fell in love with Interior Design not just for how it looks, but for what it makes people feel. I realized I wasn’t just creating beautiful spaces. I was learning to listen, to understand, and to become a voice for what people truly need in the environments they live and move through. Needs that go beyond aesthetics like safety, healing, comfort, and connection, embedded quietly into every corner. Somewhere along the way, I also found my people. A group of strangers who became a family. The kind of people who remind you to breathe, who make you laugh even when you feel like crying, who show up without being asked. To my family, thank you. For every word of encouragement, every act of love, every moment you believed in me even when I was full of doubt. Your support has meant everything. To the faculty who challenged and guided me, thank you for seeing potential where I only saw questions. You helped shape me into the designer I am today. And to every single person who listened to my wild ideas and said, you know what? Hell yeah. Thank you. You kept me going more than you know. I’m proud of myself. For showing up. For pushing past fear. For working harder than I ever thought I could. All of it led me here to this moment and to graduating Magna Cum Laude.
