‘standing ovation’ — 4 songs. an EP, for me. yours now.
i am terrified to be doing this. petrified. but here i am, doing it scared.
i wrote these songs for me. i asked Keith to produce it, because i felt that he could make it sound like me. i had Connor on a song because that was my dream, it meant the world to me. i had Emily do the photos so that i knew it would feel like me. this project was for me, to get the me i used to know back.
and now it’s out for you. for anyone who wants to hear it. for anyone who wants to know me, and see me, and hear me. here it is, for you.
there’s no dream for me beyond this. this was it. to put something out there for me. to tell my side of the story.
thank you for letting me live this one out. thankyouthankyouthankyou.
now i’m gonna go throw up & let’s never talk about this again by @camiedudz

everything always works out for me because i am a September Virgo🎈 by @camiedudz

Amma was the best and coolest grandma anyone could’ve asked for. she was my Virgo queen. she was my twin. we had a nearly identical astrological chart. she was the most stubborn person i knew. she was hilariously, brutally honest without even trying. she would make me show her every single Christmas gift i got every year without fail. she always had grapes out for us. she loved to gossip. when i ran away in kindergarten, i called her to tell her i was coming and she said, “okay, see you soon.” it was always her turn to make lasagna. she loved animals. wombats were her favorite. she went to more White Sox games in one season than most people go to in their lives. she liked all of my Instagram stories. she wanted daily photos of our cats. i shared every road trip route and flight with her because she liked tracking me. she does NOT want me to buy a condo. she loved Chicos. she made the best buttercream frosting. wherever she was, she sent a postcard. she hated when they just said “wish you were here,” so every post card we sent said “wish you were here.” if i was driving separately, she wanted to drive with me. she was the definition of independent. i was convinced she would outlive us all.
she would roll her eyes at me if i said “she’s in a better place,” so i won’t. i’ll just say this: i love you, Amma. wish you were here. by @camiedudz

do you guys wanna know how many times i’ve rewatched Ted Lasso this year? by @camiedudz

HOW is out everywhere now🙂‍↕️
since i started making music i’ve always said it’s just for fun, to get to create and feel and heal however i need to in the moment. no genre, no game plan, just letting each song live and breathe on its own. i did my first write for a song because it seemed like it’d be fun. changed genres because it was fun. did more promo on this one than other releases because it was fun. that’s the whole point of this shit anyway, right?

this one was such a good time to make & i hope y’all have fun with it too (even though the circumstances that led to it were less than fun🫩)
