I won first place in the @i.am.majority What Now Writing Contest, out of more than 2,000 entries, and I’ve been sitting with that for a few days now trying to understand what it actually means beyond the number! The contest asked one BIG question: what are the creative solutions to the social, political, and global problems we face? I didn’t answer with a framework or a five-step plan. I wrote “Survival Is Not Stability,” an essay that came from somewhere much older than any theory - from growing up in the periphery of Brazil, from watching people I love pour everything they had into simply staying afloat, from knowing in my body the difference between making it through and actually being free. That’s what the essay is about. That gap. And what it would take to close it for real.What I didn’t expect was to find, through this contest, an incredible organization that seems to be asking the exact same question from the investment side. @i.am.majority isn’t built on the charity model - they’ve actually questioned it, studied why it fails, and built something structurally different: a collective that grows real estate wealth and channels it toward the communities that have been most systematically excluded from it, with the understanding that broken systems don’t break everyone equally, that inequality has a history and a geography, and that the people closest to the problem are the ones who should be building the solution. There’s something visionary in how they operate - from a truth most institutions still refuse to sit with: none of us will be free until all of us are. We are bound by the same thread, whether we acknowledge it or not, and Majority is building as if they actually believe that.Safety, wealth, health - not as promises but as infrastructure! I grew up being told we need to fear God. But nobody ever explained the difference between someone who doesn’t do wrong out of fear and someone who doesn’t because they understood that hurting others is hurting yourself, and that fear doesn’t build character, it just suppresses it.This makes me realize how primitive consciousness still is on this planet. Fear still wins over love. And as long as that’s true, we’ll keep confusing obedience with goodness.The Source, the Mystery, God - whatever you call it - doesn’t ask for fear. no miolo dessa flor tudo se abre sem medo, o pó dourado se entrega ao vento como quem sabe que viver é circular e não acumular, mas do lado de fora a gente aprendeu a fechar a mão, a contar grão por grão, a levantar muro onde antes só passava o ar, chamam de ordem o que é escassez fabricada, chamam de progresso o que seca o chão e o corpo, e ainda assim a flor insiste, não pede licença, não escolhe quem merece, não conhece fronteira nem dono, ela só oferece, e talvez seja isso que mais assusta, porque revela que o mundo não nasceu faltando… foi ensinado a esquecer como repartir.boa semana pra nós 💛#escritosdelalma #autoralpoetico by @camilanewreality
