CHIROPTERA🦇

Feeling endlessly GRATEFUL to have been part of this massive project, alongside so many incredible people & dancers, performed in front of 28,000 people.
What a moving ride it has been! Left extremely inspired by everyone involved in this project, the humaneness, the respect, the drive, the joy, the power of collaboration, the message we sent out there to the world in these dark times, finding a common breath, letting our egos on the side…
A life-changing experience and as some of my dear new friends said: it’s for these kind of moments that I do and love my job.
My little bat heart is FULL 🤍

Infinite thanks to @damienjalet for this opportunity to be part of your amazing vision and for bringing together such an incredible group of dancers, as well as for your motivational & positive words (and jokes!!) during the process, creating a confident environment to work in.

To @shawnfitzgeraldahern for being the most inspiring rehearsal director (and human being) ever! I think I’ve never witnessed someone do his job so well, with such kindness, respect, optimism, with a personal attention for each and everyone of us even though we were so many and there was so much pressure to make this happen. And the jokes… the playlist…! 🫶🏼 We see you & we love you bat daddy.

To @jr for your vision and your support, for making all these people come together around your phenomenal artwork and for treating us so well with all your team at @atelierjr !

To @thomas.daftpunk for this epic original composition, giving us the chills and making us feel like superheroes up there.

To @jami_hessaine , @margot.thery , @valentin_crepain , @maelle_bse , Milo, Géraldine, etc. for being the best and funniest producers we could ever dream for, treating us so well and caring for us every second of the day!

To all the security staff at @reseau_jade who kept us safe and supported us during the whole process!

And finally to all the 153+ dancers that I met on this project. You are all so f* amazing and inspiring.
My group A: what a joy to work closely with you during these weeks. The drive and the generosity! I feel humbled to have shared the space and danced next to you. 🦇✨ taken in Opéra Garnier Paris, France by @camillehinsinger

At my cousin Nolwenn and Thomas’ beautiful wedding, someone put on a vinyl record of ABBA’s ‘Dancing Queen’ so I spontaneously improvised a lip-sync performance for my dear grandma and my sister who were sitting in a corner of the garden at Château de Trouhans. The wind was a paid actor, and the photographer @andres_fluxa_photographe apparently arrived right on time to get the shots. taken in Chateau De Trouhans by @camillehinsinger

This season we wanted to honour our team for all their hard work and special talents. Freezone is an organisation led from the heart by a tight-knit group of very special individuals.

Over the next few days we will share the unique superpower that lives in each of us, these qualities that make Freezone daring, human, creative, and just a bit absurd.
.

✨Let’s introduce Camille Hinsinger @camillehinsinger, part of our production team and contemporary dance teacher for our training programs. She knows Freezone from the inside, after being part of @freebodies_bcn from 2020 to 2022!

She stands for what’s right and never loses her sense of direction. Her superpower is a sharp mind and a steady heart. She encourages everyone to hold their ground, to value themselves fully, and to find the clearest way through any challenge.
.

One superpower at a time: 6/9 portrait

We hope you dance.✨
