My debut album Nude #9 is out everywhere. I wrote these songs deciding to just be fully honest and see what happened..

Some of them might make you uncomfortable. Or maybe you’ll relate. I’m not sure. The art that’s struck me like lightning over the years is the art that’s said ‘well fuck what you might think of me because I need to say this’

My One True Dream is that these songs can function as some sort of ~feeling container~ for both the fucked up reality we’re living in and also the brief flashes of joy in the dark which, well thank god for those

My immense immense gratitude to the trusted friends I got to make this album with, especially @benzaidi who dove in head first with me. More on that soon but for now my biggest of thanks goes out to:

Produced by @benzaidi
Soundscapes (and guitar) @haldeman
Guitar @confessionsofasacchione and @jacobdrab
Sound layers @budo
Bass @eliheathmusic
Drums @wxxl and @kane_ritchotte
Mastering @chrisgehringer

Thank you to @arielllllllllle for helping me figure out how to put context around these songs

Thank you to @baohngo for co-creating the visual world of Nude #9 with me

The video stars my man Lawrence Scott on the suitcase. @gabemoralesmusic on the red guitar. And @samshoeman on the tobacco burst bass. Link to watch in BIOIO

I had this thought yesterday while looking at the list I made of everything I have to do. There is so much. How much of it matters I’m not sure. This post isn’t a poem it’s just a thought but one of my favorite poems which feels like a thought is Lying in a Hammock at William Duffy’s Farm in Pine Island, Minnesota by James Wright and if you know it well you Know it and the end of my thought is plagiarism of Wright’s thought which is a perfect thought by @camillejschmidt

Happy belated 250th anniversary of loving my friends and swimming in a pool with my hand brace on which I was told not to do. I think my whole insta is about to be dedicated to me getting into water features with my hand brace. Oh well. This is the real me. And I love a water feature. And as you can see toward the end? Also a child’s amusement park ride. by @camillejschmidt

HAPPY PRIDE!! This is a PSA that I’m hosting a queer dating night on June 28th at Cassette. It’s the first gay ‘Date My Friend’ event in NYC. I pitched my perfect and tragically straight friend at the straight one of these a few months ago and now she’s dating this guy who bikes many miles and brings her back bouquets of wildflowers. What is the premise of this night you might ask?? Basically you get on stage and spend 3 min pitching your perfect gay friend to a room full of strangers. And then when pitching is over we hang we chat we enjoy a little thing called ambiance. There’s a form in my bio if you have a friend you want to pitch! Orrr you can send this to your group chat and see who wants to pitch you ;) Also even if you’re not pitching or getting pitched, you are so welcome to come. There will be a bunch of gay people in a room and probably a themed drink and that is of course one of the best things that can happen to a city besides the Knicks winning

Ok so. To reiterate. Bc my left handwriting is still at a first grade level. June 28 .. 7PM .. Cassette NYC .. LGBTQIA+ and 21+. Google form in my bio 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩 by @camillejschmidt
