Earl slick. Earl Slick was David Bowie’s long-time guitarist starting with the 1974 Diamond Dogs tour, recording and creating the incredible riffs and solos on Young Americans, Station to Station, Heathen , Reality, The Next Day Serious Moonlight, Dancing In The Streets, with Bowie and Jagger and more. He has also worked with such greats as Robert Smith, Carl Perkins, Ringo Starr, George Harrison, Eric Clapton and Buddy Guy . It can be said that one of the high points of his career was working alongside John Lennon on what would become Lennon’s final studio recording, the 1980s chart-topping Double Fantasy. .
Camille and Earl Slick first crossed paths in Yoko Ono’s Meltdown Royal Festival Hall in 2013, performing a spell binding emotional rendtition of Lennon’s I’m Losing You. It was at this meeting they recognised a real musical and personal connection “You’re the real thing, as crazy and free on stage as I am”, she thought. Now, some thirteen years later, the pair are reunited for this special one-off gig. #davidbowie #nickcave #brel #radiohead. by @camilleosullivanpics

So delighted that our labour of love of the past 9 years has been shortlisted for an Architectural RIAI award (Some pics of designs/montages I did working out the details and finishes above ;-))

This project has been dear to my heart as I spent almost 10 years of my life studying and working in the field of architecture, before becoming a singer and performer. Having spent a number of years dreaming and developing ideas of how to transform this beautiful building back into a place to live, work, play and create, which reflects its history, it was great to design again, and on site every finish, fitting, space and surface finish was carefully thought of and we were grateful for the expertise and guidance of Elizabeth Byrne Arch and Geoff Brouder in bringing this vision to fruition.

To have this opportunity to flex my design muscles again, and to see many years of design ideas brought to life has been a privilege. It was so important to me to uncover and reveal the layers of history embedded within the building, and to have these glimpses of the past, present in each room, and to embrace the flexibility of spaces that these wonderful Georgian houses offer. Before embarking on my singing career, I won an AAI Award for my project for ‘An Adaptable Room’, when I had a Architectural practise and here in this house I’ve developed this idea further on the first floor in a inscribed ‘Golden Section unit’ (system of proportions I was obsessed with in my architecture days) the repetitions of circles and squares in Georgian houses. This is dedicated to our builder Vincent Keaveney (Ramsden Construction) who worked extremely hard and patiently, with such respect creating this vision into reality …have more words included in comment below about him we loved and miss him..and just some of the ideas how they came about! 🤗(first pic is photo shop of ideas surface lights, also how lights transform changes the room) by @camilleosullivanpics

Did you know that @camilleosullivanpics is an architect? Joining performer & activist @nollester in ‘In Plain Sight’ to unveil the stories behind three of Ireland’s Mother & Baby Homes: Bessborough, Sean Ross Abbey and Castlepollard.

In this intimate theatre experience, audiences share the space with Camille & Noelle and are invited to engage with Camille’s models of the 3 buildings. Described as Camille as theatre facades themselves, ‘In Plain Sight’ works to reveal what happened beyond their four walls.

Please note. All performances take place off-site, including in former institutions and churches around the country. Tickets are available through our partner venues’ box offices.
