This first year at Cal has taught me that growth is about building intentionally, not just performing.

Being part of DTN has pushed me to think beyond the present season and beyond the classroom. As a freshman and undeclared engineering student, still figuring out my path, I’ve learned that growth takes initiative. The discipline and accountability I develop as an athlete are the same qualities shaping the professional and leader I want to become.

That mindset shows up in the circle too. This is my first indoor season competing in the weight throw, an event that demands patience, precision, and control under pressure. I’ve broken the freshman record three consecutive times, and next week I’m heading to Boston for the ACC Indoor Championships.

In engineering and in sport, progress comes from consistency and long-term commitment. Grateful for the journey and excited to keep building, step by step.

All the glory to God!
